  1. Its a refrigerator that looks like a cooler but it runs on 12/24 volts. Usually includes a power brick to run it off 120 volts. The one shown here is a small one. It uses a compressor and can even be set as a freezer if needed. This small one is the one I usually keep in the shed on a shelf in the summer to have cold drinks handy when I am working on something. (the shed is like my workshop and where I maintain the quads) Right now I have it powered up because I am going on a trip for a few days and want a few cold ones in the hotel room. These are very power efficient. I have a larger one I take camping and run it off the battery. Uses 3amps when running (at 12 volts) and they are very quiet. I also have a dual-zone one so I can use the small compartment as a freezer for ice packs when we quad ride in the summer to keep the drinks cold during the day.

  2. Thank you brother, some things I've found said that and others said not all the way because it would build too much pressure. I tend to overthink, especially when I see conflicting info. Lol It's extremely nice, it actually belongs to an elderly couple I've known most of my life. They bought it new in '07, never been abused and always garage kept. Most likely never seen full throttle until I've been test riding it. Lol

  3. Interesting, i like to do that also, especially if you find one out in the woods abandoned just to see how old the markers are. I found one next to a creek bank once all the stones were early 1800s lot of history there.

  4. Where I live riding is limited, most of our local places are closed off now. We travel a lot to Northcentral PA where there is a lot of riding. One place called Snow Shoe Rails to Trails allows free camping with membership ($30/year) so we tend to go there a lot because it is cost effective. You can take your quads right into towns to get gas, or food, and you can even visit a state park. Out there, they use township roads and segments of state roads to connect one place to another so I equipped our machines with mirrors, turn signals, reverse light, and horn.

  5. Ahhhh! Mike has perfected the finer things of roughing it! The one Mike has that freezes is nice. In the evening I like my Pinch on the rocks. That's Pinch Scotch Whiskey! I am not into Johnnie Walker.

  7. There should be a vent line coming off the transfer case, but if you can stick your finger in the hole and touch fluid you are ok.

  8. I agree with Dave, trace the black wire and you will probably find your problem. Probably shorting out.

  9. There are a lot of those here in WV. There was an old graveyard across from my childhood home. It had a metal fence around it. graves dated back into eaaly 1800's.

  10. That sounds like there is a bare spot t5hat shorts momentarily. That would explain the stall and voltage drop.. There should be a service manual for that quad in the forum's download section. The black wire may be from a safety switch to prevent the starter from running when the quad is in gear.

  11. In my area, families used to have their own private graveyards on their properties.

  14. Mike's rides are exciting, The Tunnels are capivating to me as well as bridges that are stong and firm. However, he didnot mention old grave yards. When out on country roads I feel compelled to stop and read the old grave markers. Some have revealing epitaphs engraved on the tombstones.

  19. The 450 did have engine work done, a year ago we were riding and the drain plug came loose and fell out. Lost all oil. I did quickly pull over and shut it down. Obviously I was towed back. Guy towing me back went too fast and not paying attention, I burned up my brakes then crashed into him snapping a tie rod. After getting it home and replacing the brakes and fluid. Lucky I had a spare tie rod. I replaced the oil plug and pan and the quad did fire back up. It ran fine except for a ticking sound. Had the top end done and the dealer also replaced the timing chain. (at 15,000 miles it was due) Since I shut it off quickly, there was no bottom end damage, otherwise it would not be worth it to repair the engine. The 366 I sold this year had 11,000 miles on it, Michelle's current machine has over 9,000 on it. 20240826_164530.mp4

  20. For the 6mm bolts i would do 80 inch pds, but being cautious i would set it to half that make sure it clicks or beeps depending on the wrench you have then set it to the 80 and finish up. I couldnt find a service manual to see what they recommend but 80-90 in pds is pretty standard for that size bolt.

  21. That would be ft pounds if it is an 8mm bolt a little less if it is 6mm but be careful i snapped one off on mine it had an 8mm head but m6 threads and i was using a torque wrench that was really to large and didnt click on the low setting, it should have not sure why it didnt. So i got an inch pd one just for low torque settings, just thought i would relay that info dont want that to happen to you and it shouldnt have happened to me i did everything right, will never buy another harbor freight one. In inch pd s it would be between 60 and 80 depending on what size bolt you have, but start with half that and make sure it clicks and go up from there.
