  1. The last couple of years, the Taiwanese based company, Unison has been working on a 450 racer. They are getting ready to release them. They actually teamed up with a company called Metrakit. Metrakit is a Barcelona based company that has been huge in the GT mini racing. Those 2 along with Fuji Heavy Industries, developed their racer. The motor was built in Japan by Fuji, which is the parent company of Suburu. The powerhouse is a 448cc DOHC 4 valve, liquid cooled, with a 36mm carb. It has a 5 speed manual with reverse, 520 O-ring final drive. Dual A-arms up front with preload adjustable piggyback shocks with 8" of travel. The rear is solid axle with rebound adjustable gas shock. The biggest problem I see with it is the weight, it comes in at 445lbs. DRY WEIGHT!!! It has a very similar look to the KTM in the hood and front fenders. The fenders are removable for the shaved look. Comes with nerfs, doesn't look to bad. The quality tends to be shakey at best with these off brands, I have a feeling that quality levels have been stepped up for this one. Seeing how they worked with 2 other companies that would not want to hurt their own name by releasing poorly made equipment. Unison, Fuji (parent of Suburu) and Metrakit really stepped up the off brand quad market this year.
  2. All of Yamaha's 2009 machines are set to be released today at 3pm eastern time zone. Yamaha insiders I know won't give me details but they tell me I may want to switch from red to blue. We will have to wait and see. I don't know what Yamaha would have to come up with in order for me to switch. I love the Rhino but other than that, I'm not a fan of Yamaha's ergonomics.
  3. I was looking for info on the 09 models and found this. It's old but I'm bringing int back. Reading everyone's post, how far off were our thoughts!?
  4. I would imagine you have to split the case.
  5. Where do you live? I know if you go and look at new rides when the snow is on the ground here they will do just about anything to make a sale.
  6. Stage 1 is going to be shocks for your every day rider. Stage 3 is for the racer. The higher you go the better valving and springs the shocks have.
  7. Razr2 are the best tires I have ever ridden on.
  8. Hey Bigdaddy, check this out. You should be able to get some answers. Learning Center » QUADCRAZY ATV Community Forum
  9. This place is getting more and more active, and you continue to make it better and better. This by far the most entertaining site I have been on.
  10. You would have to see how the motor fits in the frame. You would then find where the motor mounts on the motor are and then weld some tabs to mount that motor to the frame. I've seen plenty of people do it with the CRs so I don't know why the Yammies wouldn't work.
  11. Most likely you would have to fab different motor mounts.
  12. I would say yes, with a few modifications.
  13. Sounds pretty good. Do you still jam?
  14. Nice shot Roody!
  15. I'm down!
  16. I would, for looks and the safety of not having a piece of metal hanging off.
  17. I SAY BUCKBILLY FOR PRES.!!! How suiting is it there is a McCain/Palin ad at the bottom of this page?
  18. I would think a manual shifting 4x4 is the way to go. Maybe auto clutch, but I would like to be able to control what gear I'm in in the nasty stuff.
  19. Nope! I have always used that brand on my bikes. They hook up no problem, these were kind of weird. Can you feed the thread-all through the hand guards? If so, feed it through just a little bit. So the rest of the thread will be pointing towards the middle of you bars.Put the other end of the thread through the mount and bolt it on. Keep in mind that you don't have to use those bolts and stuff. If you can find another way to mount them go for it.
  20. I really don't know how to help you, I never mounted them due to the fact I would have to move all my controls. Is there 1 or 2 pieces of thread-all? You can use that thread all through the hand guard them have that go into the mount.
  21. You should hear what we call you! LOL
  22. That's what I'm saying, people call them outdated. They are still a leader in sales, and they are on the podium at the end of a race more times than not. Why change?
  23. OK so you got the mount on there. Take the 2 bolts in the pic, and just feed them through. You may have to work them through the hand guards.
  24. Wow, I would NOT want to use that jug after you.
