  1. yea theres definitely a carb issue going on. does your quad start sputtering once it gets hot and trying to cut out on you? just wondering because i had a yamaha warrior that was collecting gas and oil in the airbox and it would run awesome until it warmed up and then it would quit and that bike didnt have a fuel pump- just gravity fed
  2. check spark and compression as well. could be a blown head gasket

  4. i gotta 2017 570 too and its been a great machine. i would check for any loose connections between the stater and the battery. also check that your stater isnt blown and check your reg rectifier. im running a $30 dollar cheap aftermarket battery in mine and it does fine- has a little issue turning over with i have the lights on or some draw on it but thats because it was made for a 300cc atv, not a 570 lol. not sure what the cca are on it

  8. yea haha money dont grow on trees. the guy did pay me for parts and labor on this and the big bear he brought me to rebuild for him. those were his only atvs and havnt heard from him since so i guess that good? lol
  9. yea it was the best flip ive had so far- NADA guide said it was worth $2500 at the time. guy came said he needed a trail ready bike, i told him this thing wouldn't let him down, he was fine with what i was asking and took it home what was even better is the bike that took its spot in the shed was the 570 i got now and i picked that one up for $3600 as is- have about $4000 into it now with extras and all
  10. update on this one- sold it a while back for $3200. miss it bad but hopefully ill run across a good deal on a 500 again. fingers crossed
  11. haha yea same here.. havnt had any people asking me to fix their stuff for a while but i enjoy it when they do. just love working on stuff
  12. update here to close it our- i promise this is the last of this thread from me- lol sold the bike with the oil leak for $550. never tried to figure out where it was coming from. trying to move these smaller project out to make some room for future builds..
  13. awesome. im picking up info on it bit by bit.. i guess this is kinda one of those things where only practice makes perfect...unless maybe you have that college degree- and still, theres nothing like hands on for this type of stuff. i like how @Frank Angerano did it with his son i think it was- to take an old quad with a shot motor or one he was rebuilding and take it all apart and just get a good feel for what everything looks like and how it all works. aint nothing like it👍
  14. @mike costa, i would be confident in the Valvoline oil i run in all my machines.. you might try something thicker for your temp- im not an expert so i dont know exactly how all that works.. i run the Valvoline atv/utv 10w/40 as mentioned above in all my atvs and so far havnt had any issues.
  15. just an update: never got this thing running again- didnt want to put anymore $$$$ into it. sold for $500 needing a fuel pump and a intake rocker (and to clarify, i dont rip ppl off- told the guy all i know about it)👍
  16. believe it or not im still fiddling with this piece of junk😆. got the wiring figured out- you had to push the parking break in ALL THE WAY.. like as hard as i could. 2 or 3in past where the parking break held it. haha i hate riding mowers so much. have had 4 gottem all for free and had nothing but trouble out of all of them. had a troybilt, this poulan pro, a craftsman, and a simplicity that im modifying into a mud tractor. but this ones gotta sell for my aunt: so replaced the battery, carb and starter relay and now it starts- but smokes blue bad and coughs and sputters. thinking its a head gasket but compression is 125psi closed throttle so im hoping it isnt the oil rings. case in point- this is literally a brand spanking new mower that sat for a couple months and a blown head gasket? for real? older lady owned it so i know it wasnt beat on- she passed and my aunt picked it up in the yard sale.

  19. welcome @2urb0liter to quadcrazy! ive always been interested in those older ATCs seen where people have put 30in outlaws 2s on the 250s and they look beast. have fun with it and ride safe! haha 'ride safe'.....look whos talking. ig im just a hypocrite but whatever
  20. yea i would be concerned too.. things dont just go wrong on any make of motor like that
  21. oof... tough break. is that chain screwed? if it is i would try a new chain and rotate the motor slowly by hand without a spark plug and try and listen for any valve smack... if it does have a bent valve, you wont be getting compression and youll have to replace those😒

  24. hey@Colin Davis welcome to the forum! have you got this figured out yet? you should be able to find a manual to your atv on this site which will have the wiring diagram in it
