  1. i was thinking that too mario, i have the 2009 550 service manual, but not the 2011 ...
  2. is it flooding itself out? if you have some spray quick start, you can spray it around the rubber manifold from the carb to the jug, and if it revs high, the rubber is cracked if there's an air leak
  3. sounds like you have some bared wires touching each other somewhere ... check the wire harness where it bends up from the frame to the handle bars, everywhere really, could be anywhere there is rubbing from the seat or gas tank too.
  4. not good you had to find out the hard way ... give'em hell at the dealership !!
  5. it all depends on location reallly. here in canada, a brand new bike will cost $2,000+ more than in the U.S., so our used bikes hold a bigger value. refine the brand and model you want then go on craiglist from one coast to the other and in between, and you'll see. if you really have your heart set on a particular bike, check it out all over, get an average, and if its in good shape with low hours etc., then it might be a little higher than the average, and if you really want it, then you'll pay the little bit more for it. 6. well that's alot easier than ripping the carb apart and what not ... !!!
  7. have you done a wheelie on a bicycle before? if yes, you know you have to co-ordinate pulling and delivering power at the same time. but too much pull and or power and you keep going backwards. you have a good idea what kind of power your bike delivers, just ease into it until you feel comfortable and know how much power and pull you need. keeping your weight to the back of the bike will lighten the front end up too. balance is the key .... this is going to be an interesting thread, i can feel it already ....
