  2. you gotta make sure you cleaned it good and used twist ties through all the passages. if you did, then disreguard above statement. there is an air/fuel mix screw on the bottom of the carb and an idle screw that should be turned out 2 - 2 1/2 full turns on the side beside the pull choke ...

  4. you'll probably get a whole kit on ebay for 30, don't let the dealer soak you ....
  5. its in the whole carb kit. not sure if you can buy just the needle ... maybe. usually the kit would be 30$ and under ...

  7. you might have to tap it some if the splines are somewhat twisted, just make sure the spline is super clean on the diff side, and use lithium soap based grease to make it a little more easy to slip in.
  8. did you take the float right off? you have to be careful tapping the pin out, and the needle should come out with it. the needle is probably shot. given the year it is probably due for a carb kit ...
  9. there should be a carb tag on the left side if it's still there too ...
  10. i have a service manual for 1997 - 2004 if that might help you. there should be a stamp on the engine to give you the year i think too. the maunals are here : www.yousendit.com at the top right of the page look for the login and enter : [email protected] / password : romy1961 after it logs you in click on the folders icon at the top middle of page and you're there ....

  14. i just brought the bearing to a napa outlet and found a socket a little smaller in diameter ...
  15. yup, first swat knocked it about half way out and the second one straight thru ... did the same on a buddy's bike and he couldn't believe it ...
  16. i bought a 1/2" drive socket and a 5lb hammer. the socket had just a little play inside where the bearing seats. i also took the hubs off to make it easier. i suppose you could heat it if it's in good. but i had good luck with the big maul and socket
  17. i never have used motorsport either, i've used ebay and bike bandit. i think most of these guys are pretty legit ... as long as you get your part description right etc. the 800 tech lines are a bonus when in doubt too ...
  18. sounds like the belt has worn to me ... is it shaft or chain drive ?

  20. depending on the manufacturer of the pipe, they will recommend or have the jet kit available ...
