  1. yea thats wat a dyno jet is for.. theirs other reasons for it..but if u get an exhaust like he has which is a supertrapp it should come with replacement jetting.. now when u add the exhaust and the filter the engine is breathing a lot better do to more air coming in and more carbon dioxide going out.. now do to this their is more air going in then their is gas the jet kit just regulates that flow or makes it equal so u dont fowl plugs do to gas not burning right and it sticks to the plug and potentially ruin it..maybe.. if it is running to lean then the plug will be a a specific color and if it is running to rich the plug will be another color.. the best for ur plug to be at is chocolaty color if im not mistaken..
  2. true to that^^^^
  3. .60 over nice..so u built it from the block up or did u u get a crate engine and modify it??
  4. four inchs is like a grand u know that right because u got to replace the a-arms and put new gorilla axles in to hold up for the angles.. 2 inch on the other hand is 100 to 150 bucks and it r moves the shocks from were they were stock to a lower postion but their is a lot of things u need to watch out for and a few things u need to check up on... all i know about for lifts is for independent rear suspension were their is a wishbone or an a-arm wat ever u want to call it..since urs is a solid rear axle u should ask onetoughzuki to answer questions if u have any that is because he has a twin peaks like u with a 2 inch lift
  5. yea i agree
  6. did u jet ur carb at all.. if not i suggest u do because with that k&n and the new exhast the engine is breathing better and the oil to gas ratio is probably out of wack... remove ur spark plug and tell me what color it is if u havent done any of this... also for the k&n did u add a pre-filter if not i suggest u do because the grooves in the filter let in a lot of crap and will get in ur carb pre-filters are only a few buck and is well worth it
  7. u got a spring compressor highlifter makes one it comes in handy with the atvs
  8. thanks for the info i just learned something new and it makes sense y it would dry it out..thanks Np on the info of the moose lift.. setting the shocks low would make the spring less compressed.. u can still go at high speeds just dont mash the throttle off from a dead start.. u will still encounter problems .. just be easy on ur atv especially if ur a mud rider cause if ur in mud and ur tire catches in a root and jerks u fowards ur axle is gone.. just follow the steps i listed EXCEPT the one on using armor all and u should be ok
  9. use any pait brush just get rid of the hairs... also make sure the tire is clean i use a windex bottle full of soap and water and just wipe it clean of all dirt and grease..and then sand it with a high rated sand paper i used 500 or 600
  10. my friend owns one they got a really nice ride to them
  11. 2 inch lift will break ur front axles or make them pop out of the differential... their are a couple remedies u can do... 1. u can get the moose 1.5 inch lift yes .5 of an inch will make a big difference ill be getting that soon 2. be very easy with ur throttle no gunning it or anything if ur stuck in the mud dont push it suck it up and take out ur winch 3. set ur shocks at a low setting so the axles can move better instead of always being at a sharp angle 4. armor-all ur boots to keep them in good condition and prevent cracking so u dont have to replace boots its a pain in the a$$ 5. if u have the extra cash buy gorilla axles and u wont have to worry about any of this but their 300 bucks an axles u dont have to buy them all at once u can buy one at a time and install it one it wont effect anything 6. follow these steps and it will never be trouble free but it will be significantly less of problems accuring they still will but not as bad
  12. moose industries makes thumb savers
  13. very nice wat did u bore it to?
  14. if u want a lift kit go for moose its only 1.5 inch and it wont put as much ware on ur front cvs as a full 2 inch would
  15. if u have the tools i can show u a bunch of stuff u can do at home... u can drill out a hockey puck and put it under ur shock and it will give u an inch of lift and prevent the front from sagging... u can build and underbody kit out if sheet metal some zip ties and a rivet gun mine came out pretty good overlapped the metal looks badarse...if u go for k&n ur gunna need a pre-filter i run that and it gives a good power gain... if u want to improve the sound on ur atv u can cut the tip off and their is a metal plate inside the exhaust that constricts the sound... drill holes inside of it and then weld a 2inch pipe at the end of it of the pipe this gives it a deep throuty sound.. i did all of these if u want the pictures except the exhaust gunna be doing that hopefully soon
  16. 327 small block putting out 750 hp very nice... wat u do to the engine?? r u making a drag car..lol i have never heard anyone call it laughing gas i like it
  17. thanks for the info but y do u have to for the airbox? i got the highlifter springs for my cat their really good.. soon i will be getting a lift kit. how r ur front axles doing with the lift kit... is that a camaro i see in the back
  18. hey welcome to the site nice twin peaks... wat size r ur snorkels are they 2 inch?
  19. thanks...its pretty good the paint has a nice shine to it in the light...it would look better without the mud on it though
  20. well i dont know if the new cats just have the vent hanging mine doesnt its attached to the frame.. but just to make sure take a look around the carb just to checkif nothing fell out of place... fire up ur atv for about five seconds and see how it is if it is just a drip or a stream.. if the hose is long enough mount it to ur frame using zip ties dont tighten them... it could just be that your vent tube came loose and the gas came out of it because it was hanging lower then the carb..or u can go the safe way and call ur dealer
  21. ur vent hose was just hanging downwards it wasnt attached to anything
  22. wen u were putting ur k&n on did u take anything off.. u sure it was the vent hose.. did u begin to loose power? and was it a drip or a stream
