We've been running community photo contests monthly since last year. We plan to continue our monthly photo contest moving forward, but would like to hear your theme suggestions.

You can view any of the past contests HERE, and see the themes that have already been used. We will be RECYCLING contest themes also, after a year of contests has past.

Give us your suggestions, but please keep in mind that a theme should be open to everyone. We'd love to get your ideas!

We're planning an additional community contest come this September in an effort to spread the word about our community! Stay Tuned!

The only problem with that is how do you show everyone what a riding spot is like in 1 picture.

Very true...and it's also very subjective.....

Maybe "Post YOUR Favorite Riding Spot"......

And, "Best Dressed Rider" is MINE! LOL! See Reply # 7

Neener neener.....

Speaking of best dressed. I have an idea....for Halloween.

A couple years ago I went dressed as death for halloween, but the costume didn't have a skull mask, it had a mesh insert that allowed u to see out, but hid your face extremely well. I'd like to find a way to dress as death (with a helmet and the face cover), but it'll be tough cause of the vision.:reddevilc:

I mean, who would really like it when they look over their shoulder and see death following them? haha

bahahahah Bot, good one :)

i LOVE the race idea and best injury/scar too! everyone's coming up with great ones....

i like the best gear one too, but we could do something just like best helmet??? just to give more ideas...i'll be thinking this weekend....

or what about a video contest?? is that a possibility? idk how everyone else would feel about that...just another wacky thought comin through my mind :)

The video would be cool but we would have to put a time length on the video. We've got some cool videos but they are like 20 minutes.

How about best dressed rider doing the Captain Morgan pose!

Or how about best collection of riding gear.

Sry miss, but that's not HOLLYWOOD Hulk.....that't regular Hulk. Hollywood Hulk work black and silver...except on very rare occasions near the end when he started bringing back the Hulkamania theme.

How about "Best I RAN OVER A TURKEY WITH MY QUAD" shot?

I would sacrifice a store bought turkey. My luck the live one would jump on my face the second before I hit it resulting in me crashing. The turkey would them submit the photo to his own contest, make a off roader crash, and he would win.

great ideas everyone....i really think they'd all make great contests!!!!!! each one seems to fit an area of quad riding in a different way...this month I couldn't enter because I don't really ride any trails/areas that are open to public.....so with all of them being so diverse I think it's a great way to get everyone on the site involved!

Moved to General Discussion

I'd like to revive this thread and get some feedback from others who may have not seen these posts. We have 8 months this year to fill, so let's hear ideas that you want to see.

Keep in mind, a theme should be able to have MOST people participate. Themes that are too unique will not be accepted.

So far, the suggestions we have:

Best looking helmet.

Best wheelie pics.

YOUR Favorite Riding Spot

Best dressed rider (February 2009)

The family has two quads and have been asking where to ride around here- we are about 70 miles north of spokane and looking for places that are nice to go visit for beginners.
We have a 2003 Polaris sportsman, and a 2004 Artic Cat 2-up (I forget the size)

Hey guys! I am new here to the forum and need some help getting my Polaris 325 Magnum 2001 Running.....So I got it for free and it has never run quite right...I put a aftermarket carb on it last year and it was running fine but it only went like 20 maybe 25mph max......But then the needle and seat sealed leaked within a yeah and it flooded it REALLY bad so I changed the oil because it was full of gas. So then I put a genuine Polaris carb on it and I have it set to all the factory specs, but it was still not running right....So I replaced the ignition coil and the spark plug and that solved one of the problems I had (It would bog down and stop running when i would go up a hill) But it still didn't have that much "Punch" to it like my Kawasaki Prairie 300 ans Suzuki Kingkuad 300.....So I replaced the CDI but it's still not running right! It's acting like it rich kinda....So it runs mostly okayish when I have the airfilter on but the top of the airbox off but as soon as I put the airbox lid on it like REALLY bogs down and wants to stall really bad. I have the carb at the factory specs and it has a pretty new fuel pump so I have no ideas whats going wrong! It still nly has a top speed of only about 30-35mph and it sounds like it's choking the whole time! Thank you for sticking to the end, and I hope you guys can help me!

I have acquired a free 92 Polaris 350L 4X4. Ive replaced carburetor from ebay, replaced spark plug, im trying to pull start but sounds like it doesnt want to fire. Spark is a bright orange spark (checked with spark plug tester), replaced plug, pre mixed gas from an external gravity feed tank. Compression test good. Anyone got any recommendations for me?

If anyone is having issues with the Mikuni VM24SS carb, I thought I would post what issues I had and how I resolved them.
Acquired a 93 Bayou 220 that had sat for over 4 years.
The carb was extremely corroded and pitted and full of leftover fuel.
Cleaned carb and bowl and was able to get the engine to start.
Within 30 seconds exhaust would heat up and start to glow red hot.
Removed carb and recleaned everything, including a second overnight soak.
Needless to say, after removing the carb for the 5th time and my frustration to the limit I
realized that my attention had been to the carb body and not to the bowl.
There is a small brass rod on the bottom of the carb that goes down into the float bowl but is seperated from the main section. I had cleaned that area very well....I had thought.
***The corrosion had sealed off the channel that runs from the main bowl section to the small tube section on the side of the float bowl. No amount of carb cleaner was going to get it to budge. So i took a small nail and started to scrape away the corrosion and was eventually able to dislodge enought of the corrosion that carb cleaner would flow through that channel. ***
I thoroughly cleaned each side of the channel in the float bowl and reinstalled the carb and now the issue of it running lean is gone.
On a second note the fuel mixture screw was a nightmare to remove as the threads had been corroded and wouldnt let the screw come out. I used a little cutting oil and worked the mixture screw in and out until I was able to push past the corroded threads and completely remove the needle. After a couple passes with a tap to clean the threads it is like new again.
Hope this helps if you are having a lean running machine.

So.. it a weird one.. The quad surges as you go down the road. By the looks of my tracks, it's one wheel only. High range, low range, 2 wd , 4 wd.. It just doesn't matter..
You can see in the pictures the marks it leaves. That was in a straight line, with hardly any acceleration.
      Any ideas?
