I am a Certifid Arctic Cat Tech located in Beaumont Texas.

Hope to help where I can and learn to.

Thanks All

Bienvenidos to a fellow Texian and Cat rider. I'd like to say let's get together, but there are about 800 miles of Texas between us. Fact is, Moab is 100 miles closer to me than you are.

I think/hope Arctic Cat is an up and coming company, They are one of the few companies that are building a perpose built bikes namely the Mud Pro and the new to come WildCat Side by Sides.

IMO the biggest Problems with Arctic Cat is it's a small company trying to compete with the big boys and their deep pockets.

Another problem with Cat is name reconigition, advertising and dealer support. No Team support or sponsored riders.

They need to step up there game.

Texasrapier: you make an excellent point in your comment on"support." I'm just a casual rider in the high country of wyoming so competition is something I know nothing about but it does bring notority to a specific product. I have a grandson that loves these things and would love to compete. the cat has provided good service and a whole lot of fun.

I was at the Mud Nationals. As many know this was sponsored by Highlifter and PoPo. the pit races were originally suppose to be three lap and just prior to the finals the race was changed to a lap and a half.

Oh, in the heats prior to the main the only two Arctic Cats where paired up on the same heat so one would have to be eliminated.

I spoke to one of the Popo techs and stated that the popo's where so highly modified that they would be lucky to run a lap and a half. he also stated that the Cat's would be hard to beat in a three lap race. He basically said once the Cat's get up to speed they stay there.

I be the first to say that Cats aren't perfect, but if they where theyed price themselves out of the market.

I did hear some more info on the WildCat, they will be running the 951 cc motor(1000) but it will be running an all new throttle body. What the throttle body does I don't know but I don't think they would be de-tuning it. Also the 1000 main case was changed in 2011.

      Hi Guys!

New member and could really use your advice. I would have to believe this has been an issue for others but a search here came up with nothing......? (Probably me not doing search correctly)

      I have an 87 Big Bear 350 YFM350FWT
The OEM Mikuni BTM carb is shot and would rather replace than rebuild.
It is no longer made and I have had good luck with NICHE carbs so I ordered a #K-CRB-0006 This was what they said was replacement when ordered. This Carb only uses 1 Throttle cable. The Slide is linked so it uses one. (OEM had 2nd cable coming through top to move slide)

Problem is when I ordered a replacement Cable from NICHE (#C-CBL-0061) the Cable wire is a little short, not allowing Throttle to return all the way down to Idle position. I called NICHE and they are at a loss. Haven't gotten back to me after 2+ weeks.

What would you recommend other than a carb rebuild?
Can I just use 1 of the OEM cables (It is the right length) and snip/disconnect the other that went to top of Carb for Slide?
      Or ??

Thanks in advance for any advice you have!!

      Dave

Have a 1998 AC 300 2x4, Just installed a new carburetor. Engine starts easy but the choke RPMs are very hi and take along time (5-10 mins when cold out). After engine has warmed up choke releases and it idles and runs fine., It does no have an electric choke. The choke lever is never used and it seems like an auto choke? Long story short, how can I lower the choke rpm levels?

Also, carb came with a spare145 jet, not 100% sure what is installed. Could this impact choke RPMs?

Any help and information greatly appreciated.

I have a 2016 Arctic Cat 500 and recently noticed some oil leaking on the engine block to the right of the oil filter. It's near two metal lines going in and out of the engine block. I think one of the lines is called an engine oil line. I have a photo I'm going to try and attach. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to start tearing into the engine if I don't have to. I think maybe a gasket or something blew around one of these lines. The ATV runs fine otherwise. Doesn't overheat or anything.

If you had to choose one mod that you couldn't live without, or had to recommend one what would it be?

      Hey all!
I'm on a mission to buy my first UTV soundbar as a gift for my dad(a newbie on ATV). I'm aiming for something that offers great sound quality without breaking the bank – my budget is around $250. Right now, I'm considering options like ecoxgear, kemimoto, and boss.
Does anyone have experience with these brands or specific models that you'd recommend? Any advice or suggestions would be super appreciated!
