  2. I generally use Non Ethynol fuel in all my small engines. I just got back from the gas station and that fuel has really increased in price since last year, I will continue to use it, even though its north of 1.00 a gallon more. That seems minor compared to cleaning and repairing carbs every year. I was just curious as to what others are doing in regard to gas in their quads, i know a lot of the newer ones are fuel injected which shouldnt pose a problem, but i have had lots of problems with rust and jell forming in carbs when using ethynol fuel.
  3. I really like the sythetic leads also, very nice smooth rollup nicely and are strong, i dont think they are as strong as cable but for ATV winch plenty strong.
  4. I agree also those mounts are very rigid when mounted.
  5. Good used seats are hard to find, i usually recover mine, if the foam is in good shape thats a plus, if not i usually use the thin self adhesive foam to build it back up to the original shape, and seat covers are fairly cheap on Ebay.
  6. Nice machine, a real workhorse.
  7. Thank you for the post , very talented young men.
  8. Last week
  9. I also like stock size tires, even though i run Bear Claws i stick with the OEM stock size . I feel the manufacturer decided on this size for the ATV for safety reasons.
  10. Same here, yes US, in fact i was going to register mine even thought it was 23 years old, and DMV seemed surprised i wanted to do that and told me even if you register it still not legal to ride on a public road.
  11. Round four of the ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, headed north for the first time this season as Ironman Raceway hosted another incredible ATVMX event. View the full article
  12. I would second this mount. ive used them and the great thing is they hold rifles or bows very secure.
  13. I can really use a synthetic lead. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. You must live in America! I'm jealous.
  15. Now that im in the quad family hope to put a few animals onboard. Midwest any species.
  16. I just picked one of these up. Cant wait to use it.
  17. Maybe we well see you on on the hills!
  18. The stock driver seat cushion is separated at a seam. I took the seat apart and found that the material has torn and cannot be re-stiched. I'm trying to find a replacement seat. Any suggestions? Hoping for a used seat but couldn't find one on Ebay.
  19. Not sure which problem you have idling or smoking but Smoke when you let off the gas, could be faulty valve guide seals, but shouldnt have been the case in 2013 it was new, unless they came with faulty seals.
  20. Not idling ? Or dieing in use, or flooding the spark-plug ? The original post had a series of symptoms. If it's not idling I'd try adjusting the idle mixture as a first step. That may cure the problem and be all that's needed, or it may be that the idle adjustment is unresponsive or needs a lot of adjusting one direction to get it to idle, either of which would indicate problems in the carb. Depending how it adjusted and how much it needs we might get some idea where the problem is.
  21. Curious if you remember what the problem was? Got my boy a 2012 and it's doing the same thing. Ughhhh..
  22. Thats good you got the new switch working the starter, the brown wire you were talking about earlier generally goes to the lights you might check that to make sure its in good shape.
  23. New OEM switch in place and starter is working well. Headlights are dead. I'll get to that tomorrow. Brakes and master cylinder are next.
  24. Thats not all bad at least some activity out of it, it sounds to me like the sensor that send the speedo information is shorted out. You might locate that and make sure it has a good ground.
