  1. I saw this on some show earlier today about inventions can't remember what the name of the tv show was now....I was reading something on atv.com and saw a review of it which seemed like a coincidence to me, lol. I guess its gaining some traction...no pun intended. Wasn't sure where to post this and since it has tracks like a snowmobile or tank even, I figured I'd post it here. What do you think? I want one! Here's the website https://www.dtvmotorcorp.com/dtv-shredder/ Paul Blart needs one of these!

  2. Ok...at idle the AC voltage is as follows (the three yellow wires) Outside to outside = 30+ outside to middle = 30+ other outside to middle = 30+ at some unknown RPM where the throttle is half way down (don't have a tach) outside to outside = 70+ volts Outside to middle = 65V other outside to middle = 65V I think the stator is actually ok. oh and I tested the ground on the plug that had two black wires and two red wires, with probe on each black wire to ground, they both shown continuity..did it to the frame as well as battery ground wire. Got an offer from the ebay seller to refund me the cost of the original as may have been defective...we'll see.

  3. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 14, 2018) - The 4th Annual ATV Supercross at Daytona International Speedway took place on March 13, 2018 in Daytona Beach, Florida. One rider hungry to earn the first win of 2018 was, Wienen Motorsports/Yamaha/Maxxis rider Chad Wienen. Wienen had set out to show the skills that he worked on during the off-season. He has prepared himself for the 2018 season, and the battles that ensue with Joel Hetrick. These battles would happen right from the first gate drop of the new season. It did not take long for everyone to see Wienen’s training had paid off as the multi-time champion decimated the technical Daytona track earning him the ATVriders.com Fastest Qualifier award. 4. That Niche industries might be ok and the price is hard to argue. They seem to be exclusive to Parts Discounter https://partdiscounter.com/ * Added year and manufacturer to topic title.

  5. When I replaced my stator and pickup last year on my big bear 400 the pickup coil started making contact with the flywheel. instead of draining all of the oil I put in it after the initial install I leaned it over on a stack of pallets I had. I did brace the upper wheels with blocks so I wouldn't fall on me. I Wouldn't put it fully on its side because oil can seep past the piston rings if it sits to long that can lead to hydro-lock. I did however pull the spark plug and crank it when it was back on all 4 tires to ensure that there was no oil trapped in the compression chamber.

  6. Easiest way to clear it is to pull the plug and spin it over for a few seconds. The petcock failing open shouldn't make it flood though. The float in the carb is what limits the fuel flow into and the level in the carb. If the needle sticks slightly open then the vehicle will flood. . You should be able to leave the petcock open for days on end without it flooding. You may have a float or bad needle and seat for the float,or something as simple as a small piece of crud stopping the float needle from fully closing off the fuel when the carb is full.

  7. It is really no more safe nor unsafe to lay a quad over than it is any other 4 wheeled vehicle .. The question is why? If the battery is removed, and fluids such as the coolant in liquid cooled machines oils in the motor and drive train are removed there shouldn't be a spillage problem . About the only reason I can see to lay one over would be to weld up cracks in the frame that laying one over would make for easier access. If it is just for storage, I'd say it is not a good idea at all. Laid over properly to protect the plastics and other exterior parts won't hurt anything though.
