  1. They are cool but like you said it is too much like a BMX.
  2. Welcome to the site. We have quite a few members from that area...I do believe.

Make sure if you get off of your quad you leave it running...you might lose it in the trees!!
  4. :::: fly swatter ::::
  5. Lat time I checked the closest race was in Washington State...NOT CLOSE!!!!!
  6. I agree, it is a bit more but I think the Rincon will keep you happy longer.
  7. That is just wrong!!!
  8. I'm so jealous... When you are all done you can send the KTMs my way if you want!!!
  9. I have the exact same ride and mine did the same thing after the slip-on. Get your carb jetted and dialed in and that will go away.
  10. I wish they would have a racing circuit in Co. The closest H/S I can find is about 11 hours of drive time each way. I don't even know how far the closest GNCC race is???
  11. I didn't realize it was 2 wheel drive. Something along those lines, I would say.
  12. You guys over at the Zone are something else. GodSpeed!
  13. So this is not a designated path? You guys are just trail blazing?
  14. That Honda Foreman on the bottom I think would fit exactly what you want. Plus it already has the extra seat for your wife. When she is ready to be on her own or you guys are ready to purchase another, the Honda will offer what you want and possibly more. Another big + is that it's a Honda. They live forever.
  15. What kind of tires do you have? Usually 5-7 pounds is usually good.
  16. Not my views on everything, it was emailed to me. I just thought it was some good points and humorous at the same time.
  17. You are nuts!!!:aargh:I will take my quad and meet you at the top. I'll find the less steep way. Great picture, thanks for sharing.
  18. ATVing is a sport that can be enjoyed by the person who likes to go balls out or the person that likes to cruise at 5mph and take in the scenery...and everything in between. A 250 would have enough power to move the both of you no problem. You might also want to check out a 400 seeing how you would want to use it for work as well. The best thing you could do is go to a dealer and just test ride a 250 and mid-range machine.(400-500) Stick with the Utility side of the sport for your needs.
  19. Friends are nice to have but why do you NEED them? Anyways, for your profile picture at the top right of the page there is an icon that says "My Account". Put your cursor on that and a menu will drop down. Click on "settings" and then choose "profile picture".
  20. The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental. As John Steinbeck once said: 1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you. 2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! 3. I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy. 4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away. 5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?' The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46. 6. An armed man will kill an unarmed man with monotonous regularity. 7. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my rifle.' 8. Beware the man who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!! But wait, there's more! I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, it doesn't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of some one evil coming into your house?' My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.' To which I'll add, having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is like having a car in the garage without gas in the tank.
  21. You won't find a 2 seater in your price range. The models that BuckBilly recommended are solid choices. They are both machines that can take a beating and keep on going. I was just mentioning they 2 seaters for future reference. 99.9% of quads will say that they are unsafe for 2 people and not recommended. Use common sense when riding double. Just remember the whole physics thing and center of gravity and you will be fine. Do you and you wife a favor and DO NOT ride with out helmets.
  22. That sounds like something that would be easy to rig up a mount for. I was just going to say that if it was on the bars you would also have to get a new perch setup. I personally think it would be a fairly easy conversion. I do not know of any changes in the frame between the 2 years.
  23. I would call those both a good choice. If you guys decide it is something you really like and want to upgrade, there are plenty of models that are designed for the comfort and safety of 2 people. 4 feet of water without a snorkle kit on ATV is kinda pushing it. Oh yeah, Welcome to the site.
