THANKS Quadnut Guy !! :cheers2c: This ride is in the Wasatch Mts, Monte Cristo area East of Ogden, UT ... off of Hwy 39. I park at the Ant Flat snowmobile parking lot, go up Skunk Creek Canyon, come out on the hwy by the power lines & then ride up to the Curtis Creek Road, to the Arbs Basin area. :drivingc: I did 43 miles yesterday total ... Went for a ride today to enjoy a day in the sunshine in the Great Out-Of-Doors .... it was minus 9 degs F when I got to the parking lot at 0815 .... and about minus 12 or 15 deg F on top with a stiff 15 to 20 mph wind ... so ... Brrrrrr .... :woot: Sure was fun thou .... and I didn't see another freak'in person until almost the end of the day ... :partyc: Ended up play'in on some drifts ... they aren't to big .... yet .... but in a normal year they would be be 10 & 15 ft tall ... ... or taller !! A friend from Finland (Miika), who lives in the states (Kansas) working for his company, was in Utah visiting family for the holidays & brought his Can-Am 800 Max XT & his Trek 3.0 tracks to do a little track'in with me ... :drivingc: I missed the first planned date because of my power steering failure a few days before that ride. BUT ... my dealer got my bike back to me pretty quick so on the 28th we went for a little ride in the snow .... in what little snow I have around here ... :toetap05c: It was a great day ... we only saw three other peeps ... and two of those where pull'in into the staging area as we were pull'in out :partyc: We had a little sun, a little snow, lots of wind, clouds, fog, lots of fresh untracked snow .... and the entire mountains to ourselves for most the day !! :woot: Here's the video I put together from the days ride ... .... Glad you enjoyed it. :cheers2c: The tracks work AWESOME !! :partyc: This will be my 4th or 5th season with the tracks. Some years the snow has been better than others, but I've never regretted buying them. For me, it's the best damn mod & money I've spent on my bikes. :woot: Well, from what I've read, all brands of ATV's have had PS issues. So to say one brand has more issues than another doesn't fly with me. :wiggle: BUT ... I've learned that the 3rd Position PS Module desinged for tracks use actually overworks the PS causing it to overheat & fry. Talked to one guy that had two PS motors replaced. After that, he wuit using the 3rd Position PS module & has not no problems. So that may be what I end up doing. :bangheadc: ...
