3. My '05 Rancher was doing that and it was the carburetor. I ended up replacing it and have had no problem since. Might be able to clean it out instead of buying a new one. Sent from The Dark Side
4. I found this on Google. It says part #3 might be what you're looking for, but, where I found that said the problem was in the wiring. He found the problem by disconnecting and cleaning everything. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?csgp1j Sent from The Dark Side

7. Nothing much- family get togethers and some riding if I can find a decent place. I have a 350 Rancher and we acquired a 300 Fourtrax, '05 and '00. Have a few pics and will post more. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?45maf0 Sent from The Dark Side

14. When I was about 14 and weighed a hundred pounds, I had a Honda Big Red, 200 3 wheeler. A friend and I would ride over to a lake that had what we called a spillway- maybe 10 ft high concrete dam that we would ride up and park our bikes on top of and look out over the lake. The Big Red had reverse, so I got the bright idea to put it in reverse and burn rubber as I backed down from the top of the spillway. Was a blast until I hit the rear brake, while traveling downhill, backwards. That thing flipped back on my skinny as* and those handlebars hurt pretty bad when they landed on my ribs. The kid I was with was smaller than I was and I was thinking, "there's no way he can get this thing off me- I'm gonna die at the spillway..." he got it off tho, and I learned not to do that again... --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?1epq4m Sent from The Dark Side
15. Man that's awesome! I was thinking earlier that it'd be great to quit my job and start my own business doing something I enjoy, but I'm pretty much useless HA! I'm glad to hear it's working out well for ya
16. Got the fluid changed in the rear end, still makes noise, so it's the brakes, I'm sure.
17. Let that be a lesson, Dude. Glad you're ok and hope you retrieve the bike with no problem
18. I checked the rear end and the fluid is black. Can't get the rear wheel off to get to the drain plug off, but I hit it with PB Blaster to loosen it up. I'll check those brakes out. Appreciate the info!
19. Got the quad. The rear end makes a loud squeaking noise when it moves slowly. Should I change out the rear end oil, and if so, what kind should I use?
20. Going to pick up a 300 2 WD Fourtrax 2000 model I believe. Getting it Saturday for my nephew. The brakes are shot but I hear these things are indestructible. Anybody know of anything I should be on the lookout for? I'll be responsible for maintenance.
21. Honda shop told me to add stabilizer to the fuel and get a new gas can or fill it up at the pump. Also keep the tank full. I put a new carb in mine a couple weeks ago, after cleaning the old one. Runs like a champ now!
