Do you use an ATV safety (whip pole style) flag?

Just wanted to get an idea of who uses a flag on their atv.

Please post the following information:

Where, what state?

Is it required where you ride?

What style flag are you using? (picture if possible)

Where did you buy the flag, and how much was it?

Would you use a QUADCRAZY flag if we sold them?

Please vote in the poll attached to this thread.

Thanks!

I don't use them always but they are on my ride every time we hit the dunes. I use just the basic orange flag, I bought it for about 15 bucks I think. I got it from our local bike shop. YES, if you guys come out with a whip flag with our logo on it, I will take at least 2. Maybe a 3rd for the wall.

I don't think you guys will sell enough to have them mass produced or anything but see if you guys could have 25 or something made 1st. Then if they don't all sell you're not sitting on hundreds of them. But I will take some.

I don't always use a flag due to riding private property sometimes but when riding any public area it is required. I mainly ride in Missouri and my current flag is just the standard penant shaped orange flag. I think I gave about 12 bucks for it. I agree with sbot, I would get a few at first to see how they sell. I know I'd take two if they come available. I think they may be a great way to spread the quad crazy word! Oh almost forgot, I bought my current flag at the local atv dealership.

Yes, all 4 of our quads have flags on them... We are in California and they are required on the dunes... I like them in the desert just so I can spot our kids! LOL There are pictures in my gallery of the quads with the flags. And yes, I would buy quad crazy flags if they existed! Oh, and edited to add I think my DH got them at our local shop, but I don't know how much they were.

I am the same with the 3 above me. Bought mine, a plain orange one for about 10-15 at the dealership when I bought my quad. Here in SoCal, they're only required in the open riding areas, mainly glamis and Pismo, and other areas where there are dunes. Not required on the trails around here though. And mine's installed on my main pic taken at Sand Lake, OR.

Where I ride they are Required....

CA Dunes/OR Dunes.....

You can get them at any parts store...they only cost about 10 bucks for the Generic Flag and Whip....

I would Fly a Quadcrazy flag but that would be Kinda Weird on a Trike dont ya think???? LMAO!!!!!

I proudly Fly these Flags,,,,,For I am a Wizard:yes:

Yes I do use a flag.I live/usually ride in Indiana and sometimes Illinois. The public area I go to most(Badlands in Attica In) requires it.I just leave it on when I ride on private lands;I figure it helps reduce accidents. It's a standard style plain orange flag I got from the dealer.I also have another flag I got from either RM or Motosport;I think they were between 15-20 bucks.I'd get a QC flag if it was available.I'll try to get some pics up one of these days;I'm not real computer friendly(or is my computer not people friendly?:skeptic:)I voted...

We only use flags where they are required.(Pismo Beach) Most of our riding is on mountain trails and a flag wouldn't be very practical. Mine came with my quad when I bought it and has the dealers logo on it. I bought 2 more for the kids at about $15 each.

i think a flag ruins the image of the quad if you really have gone far and beyond to make it look good

At the same time if you have a quad that was made into a dune beast it kind of looks naked with out one. It is a safety feature more than an image thing.

I agree, besides most public riding areas don't care about your image. You either sport a flag or don't ride.

I have gone through 2 flags in 2 years. The first one I left it on while doing some trails in the mountains and it snapped. My other one, my quad mysteriously started doing cartwheels after I landed flat from about 15ft up. I found a freak drop off. Didn't have time to react and pull the front up. Landed flat and you can imagine what happened next. Lets just say it ended my day and got me a new helmet. That was last Memorial Day.

I think it is dumb to make people use them on trails. I understand the purpose, but I left mine on one time on a trail ride. Within the first 5 miles it had snapped off at the bolt. The youngsters I totally understand.

Hey guys new to the forum and bored as hell with the mundane 9-5 planning on picking up a new scrambler 1000 or sportsman 1000 for me and my son to ride.  My boy Jack is 5 years old and I was debating getting a touring edition with the back seat however i cant decide if its time to just get him his own quad or get the sportsman instead of the scrambler so i can put him on back.  I am 37 years old bored as hell and looking to tear some sh** up! I have ridden glamis and a few other places when i used to live in AZ but now that i am home in NY NO ONE rides around here!  Long island is extremely strict with this kind of thing which suuuucks! If there are clubs you can join or meetups please point me in the right direction thanks again!

Yesterday I got a UForce 1000 as my first bike and I am wondering if there are any owners that could advise where I can find budget parts and accessories for it.
I tried looking StarknightMT, but the filtering is a bit unreliable, so direct links or exact names are much appreciated.
I'm mostly interested in sliders and side cases, but any advices for "must haves" are welcomed.
      Thank you!
