Itp MUD LITE XTR vs maxxis BIG HORN 2

Hey guys I am looking on input on the Itp MUD LITE XTR and the Maxxis BIG HORN 2

They are both radials.

I am looking for them for my 2008 YAMAHA BIG BEAR 400

For hunting and light trail riding in Ontario

Both good tires. It really depends on your riding style, what you will be going through, and what you expect out of the feel of the tire.

Well that I don’t know as I am new to Atv ownership. I bought the quad for hunting which is a bit of everything depending on the weather?

Well. Will you be going thru swamps or wetlands. Mountains and rocks. All of it, most of it? If you ride on dry lands with trees. Then a mud tire will be a bumpy ride depending on the tire. Compacted treads will offer a smooth ride but can be crappy in mud.

I would definitely go with and all terrain tire. I use them on my hunting quad because i go through so many different types of ground including flat ground. As @06kfx440 said a mud tire on smooth ground makes for a bumpy ride.   
Ebay has a ton of all terrain tires.

Maxxis Bighorns are an all around good tire i have them on a 2007 can am outlander 650 maxx xt and they work great in most of the terrains we use the quad in mud, loose dirt, loose gravel, packed trails, in snowbanks.

I went with the big horn 2’s. I got yamaha Viking take off for a great price.

      Hello I am new to this site and I havea problem. I have a 1987 big bear 4x4 that will not spark. I tested pick up coil per repair manual and I tested my new coil both ok. It puts out 9 volts at the coil but It is reversed polarity. So when I hook my meter up to it she shows -9 volts while cranking. When I put a test light  on it it flashes. Being an electric system this should tell me something but I don't know what its telling me. I have yet to meet one i could not fix but this old girl has me stumped. Any help would be awesome. Thanks to all.

      So i have an old yamaha bear tracker that was given to me from an old farmer I know. I decided to refurbished it and fix all the quick fixes on it. I am pretty sure that it is either a 1999 or 2000 based upon the original wiring harness. Little did i know when I bought a new to me wiring harness from ebay that it was from a 2003 or 2004. My question to everyone is do I need to have all the stop switch assemblies hooked up? I think there are three on the 03/04 models and only one on the 1999 to 2000. Any help I can get for this would be great. I haven't run it yet due to the motor and crankcase is in two totes.
