  4. Ok the brown should be the hot 12+. Have you tried to jump the two bigger wires on the relay? The ones with the nuts on the relay ?

  6. Just a thought check your fuel cap. Because it runs good to start it sounds like the cap might not be venting. I maybe way off but I've ran into this before. Mine wasn't actually the cap but the vent hose attached to it. Hope that it helps you. Also welcome!

  8. Hey chase, adjusting the timing ? The timing should be set in one spot only so check that your at TDC and your marks on the sprocket are good. Once that's done then the timing is set and should not be moved. After its all lined up the valves can be adjusted by loosening up the valve stem adjusters with a 10mm wrench. You basically stick the feeler gauge (size as per manual) in between the valve and rocker arm and slowly tighten the adjuster until that feeler gauge slides out with a little bit of resistance. Then you tighten the 10mm nut good and try to stick the feeler gauge back in, It should go in with a slight push. After that you should be set. Keep in mind that intake and exhaust valves are different sizes on the feeler gauges. All adjustments should be made in the TDC position.

  9. Yep thats it and the part is behind and attached to the flywheel with some allen bolts. FYI the flywheel os deeper then the allen key so you have to use the longer stem on the allen key. Problem is its a bi*** to try and turn so you should have a set of good "T" handle allen keys.

  11. for the pull start issue i would check for a decompression valve on the head of the machine- sometimes they are there- sometimes not but that would make it easier. if not its prolly just jammed up in your pull start assembly which is usually an easy enough fix thats a nice bike though- heard good things about the torque those 660s make.

  12. Nothing broke per say. That's the one way clutch. They go sometimes plain and simple. That part #6 should be what you need but its behind the flywheel and bolted to the flywheel. Going to need the side cover gasket and most importantly is loctite for 6 allen bolts holding it to the flywheel. @Ajmboy The flywheel needs a special puller to get it off. If you don't have one i can mail you mine. Its not big and you can mail it back.

  14. Hey @Steven Urban welcome to Quadcrazy. The second part you show in the picture is your starter circuit relay. It all starts from your neutral safety switch. It looks like its in bad shape but they still work in that condition. Anyway you should have 4 wires going into it. Light green, brown and two black ones. Here's how it works: the green wire runs down to the neutral safety switch on the left side of the engine right above the shifter. The brown wire is a 12v positive wire. The two black wires are what completes the start circuit when touched together. Here is where to start: take a jumper wire and jump the two black wires on the relay together and hit the start button. (Make sure the atv is in neutral) and see if it cranks. if so thats good. After that; Take a tester and see if you have 12v+ on the brown wire at the relay. If so then thats good. Now the green wire is simply a ground thats made when the atv is in neutral. That green wire has a device inside the engine that when clicked into neutral it grounds the green wire. So in essence the 12v brown on the relay and the green (ground) when put in neutral energizes the relay and brings the two black wires together and also brings on the neutral light. If you have no ground from the green wire then put a jumper from green wire on the realy to a good ground. If that works then the neutral safety switch is bad. That starter circuit relay is an easy find if need be. Do some of these test first and lets see what you get. https://www.ebay.com/itm/153882535043

  15. Listen its a wire harness. Its not rocket science. Its dirty at worst. Plus the seller has a 100% positive reviews page. A spray can of contact cleaner on the plugs, fresh tape and dialectric grease on all plugs after its all re wrapped in tape and its a new harness. As long as its not burnt up its fine and by the pics and the sellers history he knows what a burnt harness looks like. Even if you were to build your own and i have on many which worked great and felt great to actually build one but, the time spent (2 days minimum), effort and roughly about $50 bucks in material it would be cheaper to put the oem harness on. Not trying to push this on you just trying to let you know I've been down the path before and what worked out the best.

  16. Ok so treat it as you would your bike. Figure out the wiring and safety’s and go from there. And yes you can jump right to the starter to make sure the starter and motor turns etc. If so then it’s just process of elimination. The safety switch on the seat may be bad, the ignition switch, fuse, grounds, dirty plugs and connections etc. Usual suspects first and dig deeper if it’s more involved.
