    you have hi and lo range on this bike... does it do it in both ranges? another thing to check it is that most of the es machines have a shift shaft that sticks out for emergency shifting... if you shift it through the gears and it works fine, then its the shift motor thats bad

    the ES model is electric shift? i had earlier models, but manual shift... maybe its something with that... i'll get ck1999_400ex on it, he's a good guy with alot of knowledge about this stuff

    i get the impression that moose is a good and trusted brand? i only ask because most of the parts in canada if not oem are usually kimpex brand. when i ordered a carb kit from e-bay, it was the moose brand and the first i ever had seen or heard of them ...

    to be honest, i don't know. i don't even try to fix the things LOL. chreiah is a good member to ask about that, i think she dreams about them in her sleep. nway, you will probably surprise yourself with a new plug too.

    did you try putting a small amount of gas directly in the cylinder? i know you said you sprayed starter fluid in the carb... it should have done something if there was enough spark. have you tried a new spark plug? are coils or stators known to go on these bikes do you know?
