    easier to get a chuckle out of that story now, but it must have been devastating when you did it back then. i had a couple friends that washed their dads' car before the dad took it downtown to fill up at the gas station. little did the dad know, but being a 'good kid' and not knowing any different, my buddy filled the gas tank up with the water hose he was using to wash the car... moral of stories are >>> $hit happens ...

    your engine oil works the transmission, best to use yamalube 4 or valvoline atv 4 stroke oil. given the age of the bike, it's probably do for some clutch work. maybe a new clutch and pressure plate...take the clutch cover off and jack it up securely on jack stands and run it, you should tell where the noise is coming from. in the service manual, you can only turn the clutch clockwise, try turning it counter-clockwise and if it moves, it's shot. also look at the front sprocket and the gears for wear.

    i'm really not sure cr, pm cheriah and she will tell you everything you need to know about carbs. i stay away from them as much as i can.
