Ok so now everyone I know is on vaca or not home. So here I am online like a friggin mo thinking of stuff for my 400ex 1. a Warn XT15 winch with mounting kit. Yes! its made for sport quads! 2. a bigger (not physically) battery. Anyone ever use a Lith-ion. I read that a Suz-puki sportbike or a honda cbr900rr battery will fit. Warn recommends a batt that is rated at 12 ahr but the factory 400ex one is rated at 8 ahr Anyone? Anyone? .. dying of boredom!

01 Honda 400EX Ticking in top end, HELP!!
marioweldinginc replied to Bumblebee400ex's topic in Honda ATV Forum
I know this thread is a little old but does the ticking go away when you give it a little gas? It might be the decompressor. Check your idle speed with a digital tach not your ears. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -
1994 Yamaha Warrior Starting Problems
marioweldinginc replied to Vulcan245's topic in Yamaha ATV Forum
You might have the rings in the wrong order or not clocked correctly. Im not sure what your total ring count is but if adding oil raises compression significatly its a problem with the rings or cylinder wall. Timing or valves has nothing to do with it. Were you able to seat/cycle in the new rings? Until they mate together your compression will be on the low side. Id hate to say iy but i would tear down the motor and check your rings and position. Maybe you put one of the rings upside down Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -

Yes see my previous post. Remove all of the permatex and install an o ring its about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. For this I would go to a dealer as the would have the proper size. Going to a hydraulic place they might not have one the is an exact fit and might leak again. Make sure none of that permatex got into your motor. It will damage your motor. Yes, on my 2003 400ex there is an o-ring that seals the filter cap on the side of the motor

Star os a reduction in taxes. After you paid off 25% your mortgage you get a tax break. Normal taxes are about 9200 a year Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -

On adifferent note. I was pissed off when i noticed how much garbage is dumped on RAC property. Even where you park your tow vehicles. Im not talking about the construction waste, i mean the hundreds of empty 4stroke engine oil bottles beer bottles atv parts dirtbike parts bottles of 2 stroke oil gas cans etc so I know its the riders doing it. Doesnt anyone give a sh*t about the riding area? Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -

We have to on LI. My property taxes are 8000 a year with the star program. Thats for a piece of property 75 x 100 ft. My house is about 2000 sq ft so its nothing. We get sh*tty roads and tons of traffic. Plus over priced tolls to get off this place. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -
I thought about a set of mechanics wear gloves anyone use those? Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk

What do you keep in your tool/storage box?
marioweldinginc replied to PolarisRich's topic in General ATV Discussion
Aside from the all in one mechanics kits and a inch pound torque wrench i have a 12v inflator, tire plug kit electrical tape 12 v test light zipties mini sledge hammer selection of chems (wd40 brake cleaner dielectic grease) rags 1 ton comealong and about 500 ft of Muletape. Also gatorade water and nutrigrain bars first aid kit. Seems like overkill for St Clair but i do ride alone. Also i printed out the honda service manual and keep a copy in the truck. Most of this stuff fits in the plastic toolboxes from home depot Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -
