What was the reason yamaha wouldnt stand behind warranty? I worked at a ford dealership for a while repairing new cars from the factory and customers cars that were under the factory warranty only. The workorder always had to be written up a certain way otherwise the dealership and mechanic wouldnt get the warranty credit. Was the matainance schedule followed or was the quad driven full bore out of the box? Is there proof of abuse? Not saying its your fault in anyway but Ive had plenty of customers come back at 30k miles with no oil change done ever expecting the repairs to be covered. If you have documents showing maintainance done you can fight yamaha in small claims. Usually small claims will side against the company and favor the consumer Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk

Although RAC is a great place, having to drive four hours to get there really sucks then deal with NYC traffic on the way back. I wish there was someplace closer. -

I second that notion! -
Looking for a tire that would be good for trail riding at RAC in PA. I would like to have the tires already mounted and looking for the best bang for the buck or nothing too aggressive. Would the stealer be the most cost effective since I wouldnt have to pay for shipping? I already have a set of maxxis razrs on there already and not too happy with them (plus less than half tread left)

How easy should the idle screw turn? I can turn mine with my fingers and little pressure. Is this too easy? If so how would I tighten the screw itself:

2003 Honda 400EX Part throttle miss

Im not sure how much water was getting in but I pulled the drain 5 times to see if there was water in it and all 5 times water came out. It was pouring rain so i didnt want to take apart the quad on the trails. The K&N filter goes almost all the way to the bottom of the box thats why I thought it was water going into the engine. I also thought because it was jetted for Long Island (about 20ft above sea level), that maybe the carb was off? No backfire or anything. Im not sure how high above sea level St. Clair PA is and would that make a difference? I will put dielectric grease on every connector I can find then -
Was riding in PA on Sunday and after I would go through puddles I would get an intermittent part throttle miss in 2nd or 3rd gear only or would bog down a little then clear itself up. I emptied the airbox about 5 times. I have a K&n filter with no foam prefilter and an outerwears airbox lid. Would this setup be the cause or more electrical? After a while of just driving around the miss would go away. I drove my quad up and down the street today after a wash and there was no miss. Any ideas as to what to look for?
