  1. How old can gas be before it starts to ruin carb passages? I store my atv about 3 weeks at a time. Should i put in sta-bil? Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk

  3. Sooooo.......... to kick or not to kick......J/K
  4. Bigger rachet.... What is the problem you are having? Is it stripping or just hard to take off. If you use a little heat you might warp the covers and def will ruin the gaskets. Try a lil Pblaster and let em soak for a while Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
  5. Can i borrow him every third weekend? Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
  6. I tried to go to a new spot today but RAC was working at darkwater rd. Anyone know what type of riding darkwater is? Went back to burma rd for more riding. I had the whole place to myself. I love riding during the week. Another thing contrary to what ive read on other forums and even youtube comments, ive met at least 5 employees on the three times i went to burma rd from RAC and two were formen and they had nothing but nice things to say about riders. Everyone of them shook my hand and wave when i pass. Is this a fluke because 682736634647 other riders keep saying they are harrased to see there permits or chased. 7. OK not bored anymore and I dont want a winch for the front of my ATV anymore
  8. I hate when that happens. Ford is nortorius for giving a spec range and the part tests out of that range but its fine anyways! Happened at the dealer a few times!
  9. Yes it is. Im not sure about you particular machine but follow that heavy gauge wire and the solenoid should be in that circuit. Or you can follow the positve battery cable You will see a small round thing with two big and two small terminals. Take a big screwdriver and put them on the two big terminals. Its gunna spark so be prepared. It should start or attempt to start your quad if not then your starter is kaputz Dont leave the screwdriver on the two terminals for more than 3 - 4 seconds Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk

  11. If you can jump the starter solenoid with the "ol" screwdriver method.
  12. If you are talking about the arm on the engine I believe you need the cable to move it because the pressure exerted by the clutch springs are more than you can do with your hand. I am not exactly sure so dont quote me. I dont know if the service manual has the arm movement freeplay in it but i would check to make sure that is within spec. If not you would prolly have to remove clutches for a deeper inspection. Anyone else familiar with this problem? Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
  13. You find the bastard who took it? Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
  14. did you install the cable back in the same position as the old or did you go by the service manual and readjust it. maybe the old cable was too slack and the new one needs less adjustment
  15. Did you remove any of the spring or clutches maybe your cable is out of adjustment and not letting the cover line up (maybe slightly engaged??)
  16. First relax, take a deep breath, stand back and analyze the situation. No crank (electric start) Check to make sure the key is on Battery - chk for 12v @ batt, chk w/ load tester, chk acid/water levels Fuses - chk wiring to fuses, chk fuse holder, fusible links, starter connection wiring- MAKE SURE ALL grounds and connections are clean and tight kick start/pull start - if it starts that way the motor isnt blown now narrow diag to starter circuit Crank no start- Bad gas - an atv sitting for a year isnt going to start right away nor run correctly. Remove old gas, clean filter and drain/clean carb E-switch - make sure kill switch is on Running issues - wiring- make sure all connections are clean, tight (cable ties) and waterproofed carb- if you dont know how to adjust your carb have someone do it as I found out there is an art to it. if it is a factory carb follow the service manual. water - "runs like sh** after I went through 4 feet of water" - Ummm yeah D/L a service manual for your atv. Most are free. Someone has to have one. Everyone on QC has had a similar problem and maybe a solution, but what may sound like a ticking to you could sound like a rod knock to someone else. We arent there so we dont know but I do know everyone on here is very helpful Invest in a quality set of tools and KNOW HOW TO USE THEM! The tools that came with your atv arent quality tools. Start with the easiest things first. If you have 2 similar quads swap parts first. Today I had a brand new boom piston that was bad from the factory. It cost me $3800. The factory swore I was doing something wrong but I went through their checklist and did some common sense checking before I called them. So now they are paying all shipping and restocking fees. This could of gotten ugly and expensive if I just started replacing everything else in that hydraulic circuit and assumed the brand new piston wasnt the problem. Anyone else want to add some common things to check, please do as one person never has all the answers.
  17. Not familiar with the quad but check to see if you have any fusible links of any kind, dirty grounds etc. start with the easiest. you might also have a burnt up battery. A battery might show 12v but wont have the amperage to start/power up the quad. If you have a known good battery try that or another atv you can check that battery with, that will help eliminate changing parts and wasting $$.
  18. Youve seen this pic before. I need more pics!
