  1. You cant go wrong with what the manufacture recommends.
  2. A two up would be safer to ride double. I have heard good and bad on the Polaris quads. A friend of mine works in sales at our local dealer he said he will never buy another Polaris. He got a new Gizz after his new Polaris 850 front diff broke. The Grizz is nice I have rode them their smooth and the quad feels nice in the saddle. I think Kawasaki BF 750 may sit a little lower. My daughters foreman 500 seems to have a little taller seat height than my 02 prairie. I think Kawai, Yamaha & Honda need to build a 2 up. There is also CF Moto I have read about and they have a 2 up. By the reviews I have read you need power steering for sure with the 2 up quads. Having been on the Grizz 700 & kawai BF 750 the Grizz felt taller and higher off the ground. The BF was still a good fit for me and felt more planted on the ground with a lower COG when riding with plenty of power as far as riding. With the Yamaha I felt like I needed to take the corners slower. Either one I would be happy to own but in the end for myself I would go with the BF 750 for the more performance feel & power and it still has a smooth ride but not as smooth as the Grizz. No quad is cheap to fix but I think Can-Am might be at the top of the list. By what my friend said if the battery dies you have to take it to the shop because the key has a security code. I am not sure if that's true or not but he said they cost to own. He is the same friend that works for the dealer. He has been dealing with quads along time. Just look at them all and read all you can and check out the reviews Dirt trax on you tube has some good video reviews. AC is one that you don't see to many dealerships for here in GA. we had one but they closed down the reviews are not as good as the other big name brands.
  3. I agree with ox go to a dealer fit your self to the quad! See what feels good. I am 6ft and have a 650 Kawasaki I bought my daughter a Foreman 500 now I fit on both very well so when were on the trails riding and she wants to swap Im not stuck riding her old e-ton 90cc.

I see some more Goon Rash comming! lol Cool shot there.
  6. Well I have the old Prairie going again the new cvt belt is installed. What a difference going down hill in 4wd it creeps along no slipping on take off now or climbing hills.
  7. My daughter got a scare her and her friend were riding and the cvt belt went on my prairie and it went into limp mode and shot flames out the pipe when it backfired and you could smell the belt where it got hot. I went to pull her home and she thought the quad was going to blow up with her setting on it.
  8. Good morning QC & good night going to bad at 1am.
  9. Im going to check it out today. One thing I read on the superwinch installation is the hot wire coming from the toggle switch needs to be hooked to a power source that's only hot when the key on. I don't know if the winch has ever been used it looks new and the snatch block the the superwinch strap for the hook were all in the packages unopened & in the storage compartment on the quad.
  10. Update I printed off the installation page from superwinch and its wired right. It has a circuit breaker in between the battery and solenoid on the +side, ground from solenoid to - battery and then hot & neg to winch, 2 wires from solenoid too rocker switch & rocker switch has hot too ignition switch. Ive not tried the winch to see if it works I need to do that as well.
  11. When I bought my daughters 06 Foreman the winch cables were not connected to the battery. I connected the cables and everything seemed good we didn't use the winch but she went to start the quad and it just clicked did the same for me. I disconnected the + winch cable from the battery and it turned right over and did so for the rest of the day. I did hook my battery tender up over night after we got done riding. The winch is a 2000lb. super winch I have no manual on the winch. My ? is will a winch drain the battery when its not being used. I wouldn't think it would But I don't know whats going on. Since the winch cables were not connected to the battery when we got it I think there is something with the winch drawing power somehow and that's why it wasn't connected.
  12. I posted about riding I just ask my daughter if she brought her helmet in and she said no I went to get the helmet I left the new pressure washer out in the front yard from where I cleaned the quads up. I didn't crash and hit my head it must be from just getting old & my wife did say supper was on the table.
  13. Looks like some good trails in the pics. nothing like a good ride!
  14. Had fun today my daughter & 2 friends of hers and I rode for about 4 hours or more today. I got my old Prairie muddy and my daughter didn't want to take her forman she got thru the mud so she wanted to swap quads with me. The bad part is I didn't mind getting her quad muddy. Then she said she didn't want to get hers stuck. lol
  15. Your carbs may be out of sync. You can do a search on how to sync the carbs and how to make a homemade tool for doing the job. I think it was rattle bars I found the info on synchronizing the carbs. May be something for you to check into if there out of sync it can have a big effect on how the quad will run and its not good for the motor.
  16. But its closer to fall not spring. Were very close to being done.
  17. I never thought adding a quad to my garage would be so much work. My wife and I have spent 2 days & going on 3 cleaning out our garage so we can get both quads & our truck in the garage and have room to open the doors to get out of the truck. 2 days 2 loads to the dump and a load for day 3 is loaded.
  18. I here you! He said he only rode it about 2 times him self and he had it at the Honda dealer to be serviced. I think he sold it for his Dad. He knew nothing about the atv. I ask about oil changes he didn't know of any so I got a filter & oil on the way to pick up the quad. The oil looked like it had just been changed. He didn't even clean out the storage compartments. It came with bullets but there was no rifle.
