  1. Health and no money. No money due to health I have disc myself in my neck and my mid back above my lower fusion and it got the best of me my wife has some health problems as well and has been out of work close to 4 years now so as of this past monday she won her disability hearing so we will have another income comming in. So other bills came before a battery for my quad and with my neck causing pain down thru my right arm I couldn't ride any way. My Dr. said I need to have surgery for the neck. I think I just need a quad with eps!
  2. I have had to put my quad on the back burner for awhile now and things are starting to get better. A new battery & tires for the prairie & a new quad for my daughter by the end of July or before. I don't know what she will end up with but she wants it camo or pink and 4wd. I did get to ride a friends new Grizz with eps wow! the steering was nice.
  3. Looking good now you can haul quads and a camper!
  4. I had the E-ton 90 which runs the same motor as Polairs my daughters was a two stroke. If yours is a 2 stroke & thats what it sounds like based on your post injection oil. The oil your talking about it will last a very long time. I ran Yamalube in my daughters it had the oil tank under the seat for the 2 stroke oil. I don't remember but think I paid 19.00 for the oil from the shop I bought the quad at but it was more than a qt. I think. My daughter out grew the quad before I went thru the bottle of Yamalube. She rode it for over a year and I only added oil 1 time to the tank.
  5. Here is my thinking when we buy a used quad we don't know what has been changed. We do know people tend to setup their quad for the style of riding they do. So there could be a chance of a sprocket change or not. I would find out what it came with from the factory and check to see if yours has been changed for more top end performance if it's not been changed I would put in more riding time because the performance should be there and just be a matter of learning to use it like mario & I said riding skill is needed knowing when to shift gears & use the clutch & gears to your advantage. If your riding at a track and your quad seems slow compared to other quads talk to those guy's ask ?'s they may race at that track and have years of experience. If you have more power & torque you still have to know how to ride to use it and to be safe. Your riding skill needs too match the quads performance or be above it is even better. There is nothing wrong with being a wimp at the track but more performance isn't going to help that. It will change in time with riding. When you get to where your riding and using every bit of the quads performance or as your skills start growing then look at taking the quad too the next level it's not all about power you need to think about suspension upgrades as well better handling makes for faster track times. Look at it like this if you put a 800 hp race motor in a stock street car your not going to be able to use the full 800 hp. until you build the rest of the car too handle it. I know you may not want to build a race quad but the ones you say are faster at the track could be far from stock that your comparing yours too!
  6. The trails I called stealing wood trails that I have posted videos of is now being pulp wooded. Some man from Fl. bought all the land and is clearing it off. This can be bad or good I don't know yet. It depends on how much cleanup they do! On the + side it's going to expand our riding area and we have been told it's ok to use it for riding it should triple our riding area. But first I need a battery.
  7. I would start with a manual not the owners manual but a manual for working on the quad It will help you and be your best friend somethings you need speciality tools for some jobs. The sprocket may be a good start but also comming out of a turn and into a jump are you down shifting to a lower gear to get that bottom end power you need for the jump. A kfx 450 should have good power. Do you know if it's a stock exhuast pipe. Changing the pipe can help with getting more power, If you have a carb & not fuel injection you will need to rejett the carb along with a pipe change also an air filter change can help by using a performance filter as well. What has been done to the quad that you know of any boltons etc. There is so much that can be done to a quad you need to get an ideal of what you want out of the quad as performance goes. A steering stabilizer on the quad keeps it from jerking the bars out of your hands when the front tires hit tree roots, rocks , bumps & landing off jumps other words be happy you have it it makes for happy hands & arms after a day of riding. It does sound like you have the power you need but just not where you want it I would wait for other replys & ask others at the track what sprocket size they use as well.
  8. I have been trying to use the site for a good while and couldn't get it to load. I would get emails and couldn't respond back.
  9. If your quad has a carb & not fuel injection more than likely you will have to rejet the carb.
  10. It's time to work on the quad. If my battery is good I'm having an electrical problem I hope if it's not the battery a lose ground somewhere. After charging the battery for two days and using my battery tender after that it wont start with the elec. start so I pulled the rope and it ran but once I turn on the lights they would flicker along with the guage panel. I need to take the time to work on it.
  11. My friend has the eco boost that is one fast truck. We looked up mods for it exhuast, cold air & chip puts it in the 500hp range. Ford detunned his he kept hit the stutter box and it would go into limp mode.
  12. Do you want to trade for a Dodge? ha ha ! Nice looking truck Is yours the eco boost v6?
  13. Joy sent me pm message in fact 2 messages. I bet I'm getting spamed.
  14. Rainman don't hate the rain come june or july we will be praying for rain. I live just about 20mins. from the Ala. line so anything Ala. gets we get. Not having a cold winter and being wet the bugs are going to suck such as the Georgia state bird the mosquito!
  15. Way to go hold your head high set your goals and go for it. Everyday life can be hard we just have to fight back even harder and not listen to people who are negative. You can't please everybody so just please the ones that count.
  16. We have had rain for about the past 4 days and more for wed. So saturday is going to be a great riding day. I hope I can get a video loaded my last ride I video but I was not able to upload.
  17. Just remember you can always take a few pics to review if needed. I had never worked on a quad myself before I had to swap out my frame and rebuild my front diff the good part was my frame replacement was almost a complete quad it's self so I had parts every where in the garage. I have been riding it for a long time now and nothing has fell off yet it's been about a year now. A shop will get about 80 bucks an hour I rather learn to do it myself. And what you don't know someone on here will know and help out.I'm from Marietta, Ga & now in Carrollton ,Ga
  18. Mario sorry to hear the news! Your not out of the woods with the weather. If for some reason Ala. doesn't workout just come on to west Georgia Carrollton, Ga that would be . My wife is from Pa. and shes been happy here. I hope every thing works out for you and I'm sure you will find some good riding spots. Ala. has their share of parks for riding. Were 15min. from the Alabama line but more south than where you will be.Were close to Talladega Ala. one of the homes for Nascar.
  19. I have not updated mine till now I'm going too! To my eyeballs the updated video looked better brighter color & more detail. I have had mine for a year but only used it around 6 or 7 times at the most. Have you used yours under water it's pretty cool to do? Thank you for the update info.
  20. It's the GoPro Hero Earthmover. CK thats fixable and I have thought about it but I'm not sure how it would handle too lift it and put bigger tires it's very few times I have needed more ground clearance. I have rutted out the mud hole pretty good. I was counting on the power to get me thru it!
