The Great Debate: Two Stroke vs. Four
quadmaniac replied to fox300exchic's topic in General ATV Discussion
I think the outboards are going 4 stroke now also, no? A 4 stroke engine is more controllable when it comes to fuel and emissions management. -
Are you part of another atv community forum?

Call us at 1-888-331-6422 or email us today for a Free Case Review! Yamaha has announced it is recalling certain model year 2005 and 2006 ATV models sold in the US because the protective “boots” covering the steering system’s tie-rod ends (universal joints) could be pinched during installation or adjustment, cutting a hole in the rubber. If this occurs, grease could escape, and contaminants such as sand or mud could get into the assembly through the hole, causing accelerated wear. This could result in “abnormal” steering free play. If the ATV continues to be operated without repair, the ball and socket portion of the tie-rod end could wear to the point that they separate, resulting in loss of steering control, which could cause a vehicle crash with injury or death. About 70,000 potential Yamaha ATV lemon vehicles are involved in the recall. Calling it a problem with “boots” might be a little misleading, however, since it does not really sound as serious as the problem might be if it happens to you. If the steering goes out it could easily lead to a serious accident or injury or even death. Other defects in these ATV vehicles may also exist. To find out about this and other recalls, click here. If you own a lemon Yamaha Bruin, a lemon Yamaha Big Bear, a lemon Yamaha Kodiak, a lemon Yamaha Wolverine, or any other lemon ATV or lemon motor vehicle, you may be entitled to your money back or a new ATV or new vehicle.
