  1. Looks like a beast. Dam those 28's are big! Any clearance issues over rocks and bumps ?
  2. Part numbers coke back the same for the 06 and 07. First pic os 06 second 07. https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/polaris/atv/2007/phoenix-200-a07pb20aa-ad
  3. Ok, hows it running?
  4. Very nice work! I love making sh** work! Nothing better then taking some leftover stuff you have laying around and using it. 👍🏻
  5. I hear ya, if you can get proof that the warranty is still in effect and they will cover any breakdowns then i would say stick it out for a year and let them do the maintenance. Heck its only a once a year thing anyway unless your putting a lot of hours on the atv.
  6. Something along those lines. Its a low speed turning that releases compression out of the exhaust valve. When the rpms come up it dose not allow the ex valve to open. Thats why i think if you pull the plugs and crank the engine its a good indicator as to what's going on.
  7. Tie rod ends and possibly ball joints. Alignment is a must upon completion of this work. Didn't you post this problem once before? Same car or different?
  8. Yes on the cam itself there is a spring actuated decompression device. It works on centrifugal force to help the starter out. In some instances the spring breaks and the decompression will not work. There are a few different types. Pics below.
  9. Your welcome on the help but its no biggie. The decompression lever is usually at the top of the engine. Take a look there for it and definitely pull the spark plug and see if the starter will crank the engine. It could be a broken spring on the automatic decompression device which is located on the cam shaft. But that depends on the model and if yours has one. I would have to look at the manual to verify. Im just going off of the top of my head on what a lot of the atv engines have built in.
  10. Cant help you there brother. Not familiar with other forums. Im sticking with my initial diagnosis of a CV joint. Go make some tight turns and see if you get the noise. If so its a CV.
  11. Yep, wait till i post pics of all the meat!
  12. Absolutely will draw air intake on the bowl with a bad bowl gasket. What happens is you get a corrugation of fuel and air going up into the needle. Its like a carbonated effect. I would shut the fuel off and run the engine dry. Unscrew the bowl drain screw on the bottom of the carburetor to get all the fuel out. Wipe down the edge of the bowl where it meets the carburetor and run a beed of silicone around the seem. Let it dry good over night and reset everything back as it was and fire it up. If it runs good then you need to put a new rubber gasket on the carb.
  13. Thanks @06kfx440 I call them my Paris lights lol. For some reason my yard looks like Paris!!!!!
  14. Sounds to me like a CV joint slipping. Prob going to need an axle. Not a huge deal to fix. Make some tight U turns in both directions and see if you hear the clicking. If so then its definitely an axle.
  15. So heres a pic of the lights. Not the best pic but they are a round bulbs about 2" in diameter . I put three stringers up. I ordered some nice steaks 🥩 today from the butcher to stack up in the freezer. Various cuts and some sausage. Yard is ready for some bbq and beer 🍺.
  16. Drilled into the carb or on the bottom side of the carburetor to expose the air/fuel screw? Or the actual inside of the bowl where the main jet is ? It's common to find the bottom of the carburetor drilled out where the air/fuel screw is. Certain states mandate that the screw be factory set and covered for emissions reasons.
  17. If you have a strong click from the starter when you press the start button the only thing that could be wrong would be the starter. OR the engine is locked up! But since you said the engine runs makes me lean toward the starter. When you pull start the engine is it hard to pull start as if the decompression device is not working ? Pull the spark plug and try to crank the starter. Let me know what happens.
  18. Yes sir. Lots of pre start grease on all moving parts. Cam, rockers etc. Crank the engine with out the spark plug in to pump oil to the the head for a few seconds prior to starting. I'm sure you know this but i wanted to put it out there.
  19. Yep a simple diff lube is fine. Your welcome, be sure to post some pics of the new machine!!
  20. Ok. Just wanted to make sure. We have seen a few unhappy campers with blown head gaskets etc.
  21. Yep no problem, one thing i want to mention. The gaskets that you got, are they quality gaskets? I just want you to be aware that the cheaper brands will come back to bite you in the as*.
  22. That's great info. Now looking at the age of the engine I would set the valves at spec and a hair more due to wear. But run it first and listen for any tapping. What do you think ?
  23. Absolutely, i have the white also. I put up a cool light stringer in the yard and it looks nice. I will post a pic later.
  24. Yep prob wont work under a load. Feel the starter for any slight click when you press the start button. Im guessing its the starter.
