  1. Thanks. Vin# is where I circled in red. It should be on the lower frame rail.
  2. This was the paint job i did in my first bear tracker. My plastics were way beyond repair with cracks etc. Its when i first got back into the whole atv thing. I was really in need of a hunting atv as well so i went with a camo pattern. I also took it upon myself to buy fabric and learn to cover my seats. I always find myself looking back at my old photos on some of my projects i did. Some were cool, some were so so but i was not good at refinishing the plastics until later. As soon as this Suzuki of mine is done i will get back into my side project on a really beat up and old piece of plastic that i picked up from an old bayou. Its just a test piece and im hell bent on bringing back the shine. Im close to a process that will require no paint or clear coat.
  3. Either way its 100% better.
  4. Are u kidding !!! Looking awesome.
  5. Well done!!!! Nice work. Happy ?
  6. @Gina Owings welcome to Quadcrazy. Sounds like a nice deal for $200 bucks. Im sure we can help you out with this. There are a few artic cat people here that know there stuff. But first off go to the home page and start a new topic on this so its easy to track. Post a few pics and whats going on and we will see what we can make of it!
  7. Ok so new flywheel is in and she fired right up. Huge difference, i can get to just about 80% throttle without any backfiring. The carburetor is still in need of tweaking but i think the problem is solved. Unreal that something like this can happen. What baffles me the most is the magnets on the old flywheel are solidly in place but yet they are incorrectly placed??? I tried to pry them off the flywheel with no luck. So strange! Going to get after the carburetor tomorrow and take it for a spin before i put it all back together. Keep ya posted.....
  8. Once you get going be sure to post some progress photos.
  9. Next time anyone is thinking of lost trails we should put on the forum calendar. Maybe the dates will work out for us all to meet up ? @06kfx440 @Jason flint @Frankwhite247 Or anyplace else that someone has in mind ? Day trip is fine and there is a great campground close as well. They have camping sites and small cabins.
  10. Yes it did. That was what I used first but went to satin after.
  11. Thats whats on the big bear i showed you. Worst case if you don't like the satin you can hit it with a can of gloss as a third coat.
  12. No difference in anything other then the finish. The gloss was too shiny for my liking. I water sanded first and and sprayed two coats. 15 min in between coats while it was still tacky.
  13. Its great because it's flexible.
  14. This is the one i use. It was recommended by a paint rep for a few reasons. Worked great.
  15. I would buy a cheap micrometer on amazon for $10 bucks to check the size of the base of the stud. Then go a hair smaller on the drill bit.
  16. Thats a good price for the pipe. So were you able to get the bolt out at all or did you have to completely drill and tap?
  17. I would think 8 mm is the size. Length is the question!!!
  18. Nice work ! Personally i would have used stainless steel bolts. Same exhaust?
  19. Go and buy an easy out kit and drill it out with the approximate size bit and back it out. Heat will be key here so tread lightly. Drill out the center of the stud carefully and go in with the easy out.
  20. Thats great, im going to check it out. Make sure you mention Quadcrazy to the club!
