  1. just remember not to jump it or you'll be buying new front a arms- they bend SUPER easy on those sxs not a fan of the wildcats- Polaris' turbos are my fav among sxs...maybe a X3 but the turbo s is king in my opinion and if you go out west, they are famous for not having any power in high altitudes
  2. Theres a horse farm I work/worked at and they have a Rubicon (500cc) think its a 04. Its been having starting issues. First time it wouldnt start, the owner said it had a new battery in it (this is about a year ago I guess..). I replaced the solenoid and then the starter. the battery was dead so I jumped it and then it started fine after the battery charged. about a month later, same problem. I swapped the solenoid back out with the old one(still had it)- nothing. the owner had another battery she said was good, swapped that out and it fired up. Now, today, same problem again... owner says the starter was sluggish and then the battery went dead. Went out and jumped it again and it ran fine (its a carburated atv so its not fond of under freezing temperatures...). the stater is working cause when I got there, the battery had 7-9v on it (multimeter said it was rising and falling (with the key on)). I jumped it off our van and rode it around for say 5-10mins. when I shut it off again, battery is reading 14v with key off and 13v with it on. thats as far as I've gotten.. I asked the owner to let me know if anything else happened later on.. What I'm wondering is if its just the battery, or maybe is the regulator rectifier not working letting the battery be overcharged cause it to die? And then again, the bike could have sat with the key and headlight on overnight for all I know..
  3. lol and why didnt you move your truck first?? lol of course it would crack and fall that way 😣 got any close up pics of what the truck looks like up close?

  6. I got a daytona 3ton low profile floor jack form there- really satisfied. it lifts from like 3 inches to 24... $100 with coupon and comes with fluid
  7. btw, was jw, is your bike manual or semi manual? Mine is foot shift but no clutch to pull. Easier in some ways and harder in others to drive...
  8. hey, anyone know how to get these front axles out of the front diffs on 04 polaris sportsmans?
  9. definitely post a vid if you sent me a phone 😂 i was just kidding for the record lol thing is, i was going to take it all apart today... guess I can work on my sportsman instead.
  10. send me an iPhone x and ill do it in a heartbeat 🤣 explanation? lol
  11. sorry- all I have is a flip phone so its too much trouble to get a vid of the bike. I will update the forum when I get the rocker out
  12. tired and nothing. had another sp, put that one in and it fired right up (if you call how it starts 'firing right' up lol) I took the cam cover off and am going to take the rocker out and see if i can get that stupid tick taken care of.
  13. update: axle is skooked, got it started, but it is getting hung up on the torn up splines. have to order a new one 😡. The pod came on for a while and now its not lighting....again😕. I did get it running on the make shift gas tank, and the fuel pump works...but i dont think the carb is adjusted right, anyone know where the adjustments are supposed to be? I really cant put too much more into this bike or I'll be loosing money.
  14. ok so I went out this morning to start it and it wouldnt start (cranked but not firing). have spark, kill switch is on, checked compression and its around 80psi. the sp was wet and black. I knew it was running rich cause it was blowing gray smoke when cold and with choke. Not sure if this is connected to the valve rocker or not. or maybe its at 90psi I would try another sp, but the one in it is new as of the rebuild and it was stuck in the rain and I didnt want to open up the sp because of moisture.
  15. and remember to have the battery disconnected before welding or you'll be replacing the electrical on your bike too...
  16. but yea with the lug nuts, make sure to torque them down because you wouldn't really notice a lose wheel unless you're going fast and that could definitely cause rubbing. And the stop switch...I done it too- tried to start it with the stop switch off.. after that, I never used the stop switch to turn it off- just the key..maybe that would help to prevent it from happening again....haha
  17. I say get your drain plug fixed and because if you're riding around, the oil can run all over the bottom of the engine and make it look like its leaking from several places.. As for trans fluid, there is none on those bikes if its like mine and from the look of it, it is. On bayous, the engine and tranny are one piece and everything is oil-lubbed. If you continue to have oil leaking issues from the bottom end after you get the drain plug fixed, you might have to consider a bottom end gasket set.. should be cheap, but I would have no clue how hard to replace..never gotten into the bottom of an engine much less a engine/trans. As for the gas cap, yea mine did it too before I added a vent hose. Bad setup as it still loses gas out the vent hose if im hitting rough terrain fast (always what I do) and the gas is sloshing around.. lol at one point come to think of it, I acually got gas squirted into my eye one time before I added the vent hose....
  18. I am not married yet (no duh 😂 I'm 15). If I got married, I wouldnt want anything fancy- probably just a band... wouldn't take it off for anything probably simply cause I would forget that it was there lol
