  1. Here's a few pictures of when my dad wrecked. This was before I got my first quad, so (unfortunately) I wasn't there to see it. He called me on his way home and said "Uh...I have a little problem...let's just say the quad isn't the way it was when you saw it this morning." The hill he was going down (looks a LOT steeper in person!). In the second picture, my brother is standing on it for reference (he was 5' when the picture was taken)...still doesn't show how steep it is. The aftermath:
  2. My brother, trying to attach the tow strap so he could get pulled out of a mud pit: We made fun of him for this for a good month!
  3. Oh, and how about more 4WD sport quads? Like a Raptor that can power the front 2 wheels? Or more Renegade style quads... And finally, LIGHTER UTILITY QUADS. It's getting ridiculous. Next thing we know, they will weigh 900-1000 pounds!
  4. Nothing yet. Wanna send me some free stickers? I'll put them on my quad and truck and promote to site!
  5. All I want in the future is an solid, extremely reliable quad that I never get bored of. So far the Brute has been great but I know the time will come when I'm ready for something new, and I hope there will be something awesome enough to grab my heart's desire. What I think will exist: EFI 450s More big-bore sport quads More IRS sport quads More 800cc or bigger 4x4s And honestly, I think in about 5 years, the companies will begin to consider electric quads. Once the Chevy Volt starts being sold, a whole new realm of possibilities will exist.
  6. OH I understand now, whoops. LOL.
  7. There's really going to be a 4x4 Evo 2? I remember the first one, and it was AWESOME!!!
  8. I went to MA yesterday. Some parts that are normally wet (puddles) were completely dry and the actual mud pits were full. Other than that, normal...trails were wet because the last 2 weeks were very rainy. I liked it a lot, but it makes me crave mud tires :drool5c:
  9. Summer is a t-shirt, jeans, Timberland boots and sometimes a thin windbreaker. Winter is a lot...long sleeve t-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, snow pants, etc.
  10. trailblazer, I'm not trying to be an a-hole about this. I'm not trying to bust your balls. I was just stating my opinion...if you don't like it, you don't have to acknowledge it... To me, SS means it has a lot of performance to back up the looks. Exhaust and intake don't qualify as big-time performance in my book. However, I'm a big-time car and truck enthusiast (Jeeps and Tahoes in particular), so it takes a lot more to convince me or to gain my liking than it would the more common person. If you and your dad like your Suburban, that's all that matters. If it were up to me, I would change a few things, but this is your project, so have fun and make it how you want...there's nothing better than saying "I designed/built it myself." And for the record, I was NOT going to bash your quad. I'm behind you on that project, it seems like it's a great learning process and a ton of fun as well.
  11. How is it "already" SS worthy? Just because of the wheels and altezza taillights? SS used to be about appearance AND performance. Your Suburban has very small power modifications done. How does it qualify as an "SS?"
  12. Nice looking truck, except for the taillights. Paint it flat black and lower it a little...then it will be "SS" worthy.
  13. On the old quad: On the Brute: (Going up a hill)
  14. I have ITP TerraCrosses. Love them for what I do right now, so I'd consider them my favorite. But I'm looking to get into more mudding, so I may buy a set of High Lifter Outlaw MSTs. Maybe they'll be even better.
  15. Yes, many. I'm still a moderator at ATVFan. I'm a member on: High Lifter Brute Central Grizzly Central Northeast ATVers NYROC QuadCrazy I'm only a regular poster on ATVFan. Brute Central, High Lifter, this site and Northeast ATVers are once-in-a-whole posting places, and the others are rare that I post on them.
  16. Awesome, can't wait to see it! It's really cool that you're spending so much time on this quad. I definitely think that this will all pay off in the long run and in the future you will have a much better sense of working on quads.
  17. Oops! Haha, I wasn't paying attention to the thread...stopped reading when you guys were mid-argument! Sorry about that...hahaha....
  18. Good call on going with the '07!
  19. People, can we PLEASE stop arguing? I joined to escape arguments, not be around more of them... I don't understand why things always turn into arguments. We're here to discuss our common love, quads and quading, not to argue about whose quad is better or whose quad is uglier. This place is supposed to be fun! We're not supposed to dislike each other...we're here to talk about a common interest, not to start verbal battles... Please, guys...settle down. I hate seeing people who would probably really like each other in person argue about something so insignificant and unimportant. Opinions are opinions...respect each others' and others will respect yours...
  20. To me riding is an escape from reality. It's a way to get away from normal hectic life and just go out and have good old fun. It's also an awesome hobby...I love the outdoors and going places that most don't even think of going... I ride in MA and PA. NY (my home state) sucks big time and doesn't have any state parks.
  21. Awesome drawing! Wish I could draw like that...I'm more of a photography person...can't draw at all!
  22. This place seems sweet. Is it really good for quads? I'd love to check it out...
  23. It DEFINITELY looks too bulky. The nice thing about the Rhino, Teryx, and RZR are that they all are very sporty. This Honda looks like it's meant for working and nothing else.
