  1. OK, I don't know how the hell to post a hyperlink or video any more. All 3 of the videos I posted are the same thing. Sorry the for the triple-post.
  2. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0jAzYAuorc&feature=iv&annotation_id=event_597785]YouTube - Superbeast KFX700 the Killer Klown[/ame] That thing hauls.
  3. Thanks, guys!!!!! I actually have a video of it but I can't figure out how to upload it. The mud was really really really thick...I went into it slowly and just couldn't go anywhere, even in 4WD with the differential locked (probably the stock tires' fault). Here's the picture in higher resolution (click on the picture itself in the link): http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n169/roody25/Maybrook/?action=view&current=53453.jpg
  4. Too bad it's only 1 per month...I have a bunch of great stuck photos. Here's my entry:
  5. That sucks...but it must have been fun while it lasted! The sale of fireworks is illegal in NY. Now that sucks.
  6. WELCOME! Glad to see another 4x4 owner on here. If you have any utility-quad related questions, feel free to ask me! I'd be glad to help, or at least to steer you in the right direction.
  7. At 12 years old, anything over a 400 is WAY too big. Take it from me, my brother is 12 years old and a pretty decent rider for his age. He's not the heaviest 12-year-old there is, but he's 5'3"...and he's dwarfed by just about everything over a 400. Even my cousin's Eiger 400 makes him look small. I'm not sure how big you are or what your riding ability is, but at your age, stick with the quad you have and don't think too much about your next quad. How old is your friend with the Grizzly 700?
  8. Congrats on the new 450! Those LT-Rs are great machines. Your 500R is sweet too!
  9. Sorry to hear that...hope everything gets better very quickly!
  10. Pictures from our last ride at Pittsfield State Forest in MA:
  11. Yep, Troy City Garage is an awesome place. I wish I knew about them before I got my Brute.
  12. Cool! I've never ridden in a Rhino, but I've passed them on trails. Definitely more capable than they appear to be! And I love how the guy in the XTerra pulled over for you to pass him...are trucks supposed to be on those trails?
  13. Fronts are 26x9, rears are 26x11, all on 14" wheels. I don't know the offset of the wheels, but they definitely make the tires look wider than they are (and make it more stable).
  14. I'm interested. I'm also a moderator on ATVFan.
  15. I used to ride a Kodiak 450, so I wanted something more powerful. Affordability, bang-for-your-buck, V-Twin power, and the huge aftermarket were all reasons why I bought a Brute. If the Grizzly was less expensive, I would have considered it, but money was the main factor in my purchase. IRS was also something I needed; I had it on my Kodiak and knew that a solid axle was not for me after riding my dad's Brute Force SRA. Also, my dad had his Brute Force 650 SRA since about the time it came out and hasn't had any major problems, so I figured the 650i would be the same: a trouble-free, relatively inexpensive powerhouse. The bottom line was that nothing else offered as much value as the Brute.
  16. Haha, oops...I'm still new here! Don't have a great hang of the forum yet... Anyways, here's a picture of my Brute last weekend:
  17. Somebody suggested that we start a thread for Brute Force related topics, so here it is. I'll Feel free to talk about whatever you want, as long as it relates to your Brute. Done a great mod? Outran a competitor? Smoked a sport quad lately? Let's hear it! I'll start: I love my Brute Force!!!!!
  18. Sorry...wasn't trying to be an a-hole or anything. Looking back I see that it was sort of off-topic, but it can all be related back to how I think that some utility quads need to be lighter in the future...which does have to do with the future of quads.
  19. It was on topic...all related to the weight of the quads and how all of it affects our riding.
  20. I have the SAME quad as you! '07 650i...great in everything except those off-camber parts. I would try out a lowering kit too if I were a trail-only rider, but I'm doing more and more mud each ride, so lowering it would do the opposite of what I want.
  21. When I was born, my dad had a 1989 Wrangler. Eventually he had it lifted and we used to go off-roading once or twice a month. Around 2000, it started to fall apart, and he sold it in 2003. We wanted to get back into wheeling but he was afraid of buying another Jeep because of the problems he had, so we decided to get quads instead. I still miss the Jeep, but quading is simply amazing.
  22. Yeah, I'd say with the ITP wheels/tires I have my Brute is over 650 pounds without me on it. The tires (TerraCrosses) do a great job of making it feel a lot lighter, but when it starts to lean, you can really feel it. Gets scary in off-camber situations.
  23. Nice pictures, everyone! I have over 1200 pictures from quad trips and adventures. I'll try to keep it relatively simple, but I get carried away sometimes. Maybrook, NY. First place I ever rode a quad on a trail. Can't ride there any more...was shut down... Beartown, MA. Very technical trails, also very calm and secluded. Great place to ride. Lost Trails, PA. Have to pay to ride, but it's worth it. Maple Run, PA. Very small park, but decently fun. Pittsfield, MA. This is where we ride the most...this place has everything. Mud, rocks, hills, etc. You name it, it's there. Tolland, MA. Only went there twice, and now it's "not recommended" that you ride your ATV there (translation: the MA DCR doesn't want quads in the park and won't hesitate to shut it down). It was fun though. That's all I have for now. We've been to other places, but the pictures aren't worth posting (for example, I only took 5 pictures at Paragon). Oh well, I hope you enjoyed that set!
