  19. looked on bikebandit . com and they list the same carb from '93 to '98 for the big bears.
  20. it would have been an easier descent had he had better brakes. he had little or no brakes here. the old drum brakes front and back are quite useless ...

  23. i have gone thru the hard copy of my manual for the grizzly and it really doesn't give a distinction between all the models and letters. fw = four wheel, nm = new hampshire and maine, fat = four wheel/auto trans ... i would go to the yamaha vin decoder here http://www.quadcrazy.com/atvforum/yamaha-atv-forum/11224-yamaha-atv-vin-number-decoder.html and punch in your vin #. it will give you quite abit of info. the np could be where it was made, asian/overseas model or u.s.a.
