  2. nice looking bike !!
  3. congrats Senator !! Awesome photo !!! :partyc:
  4. thank you, that's what i mean, i never had a problem with mine or anyone else's i know that own one. probably each brand a reliable bike ....
  5. you're best topm swampcat07 or wait for him to respond to this thread ... until then, you could check if you have spark if you pull the plug out .... if you have spark then it's fuel problem ...
  6. i can, and i will
  7. looking on craigslist is your best bet, or call around at an atv salvage yard.
  8. good morning !! back to work !!
  9. it might be the cable going into the carb, twisted cable or bent needle, maybe something with the throttle valve. probably an easy fix. most times if you take it apart and don't see anything wrong and put it back together, it fixed itself. you might want to get a carb kit too, sounds like the float needle might not be sitting right. air leak might be from the rubber manifold from the carb to block. easy way to tell is when its running, spray some starter fluid around it and if it revs up, there is a leak. if you dont get a carb kit, take everything out (screws/jets) and use (stripped) garbage bag ties to run thru everywhere and if you have a compressor, blow it all out.
  10. i'm almost thinking it's a breather tube from the crankcase. i looked on my bikes but i dont have any connections of tubes except for the breather and to the carb. the filter looked like it was in place at the front, and with the amount of discharge coming out, it has to be alot of pressure, like the crankcase not breathing. but the vid is gone now. at first i thought it was oil/mixed/water. not sure mario
  11. awesome WillyPoP !! thanks for the share !! the weather looked perfect too !!
  12. it's alot of miles but not alot of hours. whoever had it got on it and drove it, didn't let it idle all day. just over 6 miles an hour. that's a good machine, lots of parts available and getting inexpensive ... if it runs good, the only thing i can think of down the road is rings and valves for fixing ....
  13. i would probably first try cleaning the carb thoroughly, making sure the float needle is good. if not get a rebuild kit and replace everything from the kit. that is a ton of fuel coming back ... i would check all the fuel vent lines too. while you are at it, make sure the crankcase vent line is not plugged and check all venting lines, doesn't take too long to do or fix ...
  14. another great selection this month !!
  15. congrats !! :partyc: will be anxious to see the pics !!
  16. pop your plug out when its cold and turn it over and look at the spark. then ride it for that hour and do the same thing with the plug. if the colo(u)r is weaker, you have a bad coil. timing might still be good, carb is good, valve seals might need changing if alot of oil, but if not, just make sure you check your oil when you go out to ride ...
  17. i have the 2002 lta 500 manual that goes up to '07. not sure if specs had changed in this or not ... 2002 - 2007 Suzuki 500 LTA Service Manual.pdf
  18. just on foot, pics are in another thread... it is way way steep
  19. it might have the de compression chamber, you have to draw the cord out, wait about 3 seconds still pulling with some pressure, and then rip it. i'm doing that too with my griz right now, and i know its not fun. man that sucks there's no flywheel, i'm sure it should have one even without a starter for balance. or, maybe the previous owner wanted to gain some ponys ... all kidding aside, definately look into it and i'll see if i have a service manual for you ...
  20. it's from the dealer when you buy a yami... they already know there will be jealous people trying to knock their product
