We have 3 moderator positions open and are looking to bring a few people onboard to help oversee these forums and keep them moving.

The requirements to be a moderator in these forums are:

1. You must check your forums (forums you are assigned to) once a day by logging into this site. An occasional missed day is fine. If you are gone or will be gone for more than 2 days, a message needs to be posted for our moderating team and a Super Moderator should be notified.

2. An open mind, calm attitude, mediator mentality, and complete professionalism is required.

3. You may not be a forum moderator on any other site at the same time.

More details and moderator handbook provided.

If you are intersted or would like to nominate someone, please post a reply in this thread.

I would love to!

I don't spend too much time on this site but I forgot about it for a while then got caught up in sports and getting into college. But now I have a lot more free time so I'll be spending a good bit of it on here.

And yes, I have previous experience...been moderating ATVFan for a couple years (I know ATVFan is somewhat frowned upon on this site, but it's still a qualification).

For now I'm going to ATVFan. It's like my home...I've been a member on there for as long as I can remember. It was the first ATV site I joined when we were just getting into the sport.

But if I feel like quitting that site, I'll be sure to let you guys know! Hope the offer is still on the table if anything were to happen with "the forbidden site" (that's what I'll call it LOL).

But if there is any way for me to do both, I would totally be into that...anything to help out...

A Mod on that other site is just a member with a purdy name right? Thats pretty much what Raptor8 said. You guys had your Mod powers taken away but got to keep the title, right? Edited by BuckBilly

      Hi Guys!

New member and could really use your advice. I would have to believe this has been an issue for others but a search here came up with nothing......? (Probably me not doing search correctly)

      I have an 87 Big Bear 350 YFM350FWT
The OEM Mikuni BTM carb is shot and would rather replace than rebuild.
It is no longer made and I have had good luck with NICHE carbs so I ordered a #K-CRB-0006 This was what they said was replacement when ordered. This Carb only uses 1 Throttle cable. The Slide is linked so it uses one. (OEM had 2nd cable coming through top to move slide)

Problem is when I ordered a replacement Cable from NICHE (#C-CBL-0061) the Cable wire is a little short, not allowing Throttle to return all the way down to Idle position. I called NICHE and they are at a loss. Haven't gotten back to me after 2+ weeks.

What would you recommend other than a carb rebuild?
Can I just use 1 of the OEM cables (It is the right length) and snip/disconnect the other that went to top of Carb for Slide?
      Or ??

Thanks in advance for any advice you have!!

      Dave

I have been exploring all the options available, so many, its hard to choose. I have kind of narrowed it down to the Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, and Kind of looking at the Outlander, although its a little small,  the new one is nice looking. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or gripes with any of these rides. I have driven Jeeps for the past 25  years and they have been great, but their price point has gotten to high. Expieriences good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

      Hey all!
I'm on a mission to buy my first UTV soundbar as a gift for my dad(a newbie on ATV). I'm aiming for something that offers great sound quality without breaking the bank – my budget is around $250. Right now, I'm considering options like ecoxgear, kemimoto, and boss.
Does anyone have experience with these brands or specific models that you'd recommend? Any advice or suggestions would be super appreciated!

Recently picked up a 1991 Lt230e for repair. Compression is a little low Id say, around 80psi, I also have spark but the spark is odd . When cranking the spark is a constant arc. I’ve got it to sputter but never fully turn on. I believe the spark is my issue, being constant and not detonating at the right time. I’m not sure whether this issue is an electrical fault like some missing ground, a faulty cdi, or a timing issue. Any ideas where I should start?
