  1. I run what the tire states, 5 psi, but I also have radial tires on my quad (Maxxis Bighorn) Mike

  2. Go through the gears and make sure they all work. Double check the fluids, look for welds on the frame for a wreck/repair. Make sure the underside of the plastics match color so you know none were replaced. There is a post here about buying a used bike. I posted the topic a little while back. You will find a considerable amount of members input there and have a good idea what to look out for when buying. Good luck.

  3. Haha my man yes that’s a good point about posting TRASH to get a download. It makes me crazy! We will get this figured out! We always do here at Quadcrazy. You get some time and trouble shoot we will be here to give you answers. Fortunately I’ve dove head first into this bike so personally I know what’s what.

  4. Waiting for day off to continue. Yea is a pain to fix others rig. Looking at the harness and other wiring I really don't see any other areas where they messed with it. Looks pretty stock and no burns or messed up wiring. Ill check the regulator on Friday and also see which one had power at ign. I did check starter switch and is open so figure its bad. Now I tried to jump wires on opposite end of connector and still no crank with key on and off. LOL at least im not posting trash just to get a download

  5. Honestly you or anyone else with any bit of basic knowledge can build a new wire harness from scratch. All it takes is the wiring diagram, a few different color highlighters and some basic #14 or #16 gauge stranded wire in various colors. About 8 feet of each color. A connector kit from amazon and electrical tape. You can bring a smaller copy if your diagram to staples or any other office supply place and ask them for a large copy, 11x17 or larger. It’s about $3 bucks for that and really makes it easier to see in large format. Highlight all the colors on the diagram to make is easier to identify. This also applies when it comes to sorting out someone else’s mess on an existing wiring harness. The key is to highlight each run of wire with individual colors. This was you know what and where things go and if something’s missing or added that does not belong.

  6. I run a half pound less of what the rating is just for comfort. Takes a little bit of the rough ride out. I also use nitrogen in instead of air. Nitrogen has no pressure change through the seasons cold or hot so my tire psi always stays the same.

  9. Me and a buddy bought our first quads back in 1985 when Suzuki brought out the Quad Sport / Quad Racer line, we each purchased a brand new 230 quad sport, at age 16 it was a great bike, we ran those poor quads until they where completely worn out, never had a machine since that owed me so little, I have had a string of different ones ever since, but never any that have so endeared themselves to me.

  10. I am biased to the 4WD polaris xplorer because I'm not a sports atv kind of guy and I like trail riding with storage and getting stuck kind of riding. How are you going to make money? Plowing?

  11. i was 8 years old and my parents had trouble deciding wat kinda present i wanted for christmas. so i was asked if i wanted a quad or a dirtbike. i said dirtbike cause i thought it would be cheaper. so that christmas i got a ttr90. i rode it everday and loved it, but one day i jumped and landed too far on the rear wheel. i fell back and ripped a chunk outta my elbow(thank god for meh helmet). i too was scared of it. i never rode the same on that dirtbike. that next christmas my brother got a kfx50.i would ride around with him, but not as hard as before. after i began to ride his quad more than my dirtbike. when i was 12 or 13(dont remeber) we went out and bought a 250ex. i loved it. after that all my friends began getting quads. then at 14 i got bored with the 250 but still rode the hell outta it. then this march, after 2 yrs of workin with my dad i finally got my 400ex. the story is to be continued
