I'll have to take a picture of our platform we have when I get home tonight Kinda similar to MWKE's...but more like a dirtbike ramp on the back of a truck...not elevated like MWKE's....Nick made it from all steel and welded it Pretttty nifty I might add...

i have to agree with Bot and MWKE, although I hope for the best for you, it's going to be a long shot....Nick's 450 needed a new transmission this summer and it was only about a year old....we maintain our machines very well, but we didn't even bother with anything dealer because we new in the long run, we'd lose...and he races it. so wasn't worth it....but, hopefully your ending turns out differently and we're all wrong.....

i haven't seen any...i know sdg is in the process of making bump seats for the 450r but until then idk...

i dont carry anything but me if im racing...and a camelbak buttt if its just riding, either nick or i have a backpack with drinks, tools, spare gloves and our cellphones ya never know what could happen out there!

i gotta see right now if im gettin the graphics from the Boss offroad crew for our sponsorship with them or if im going to go a different route....but i'll keep her in mind i bet shes awesome..

bahahah you two arent helping me decide on a dang seat cover....and whatever work i can do in the house i'll do it :) thre's not enough room for us both in the enclosed trailer we currently use as a garage!

thats teh beauty in buying something, you never know what you're goin to get or whats goin to happen....my 400ex is 9 years old, a 2000 model...i've been racing it since May 2007 and now, last August for the first time in its life, I had to have it rebuilt...here's something you need to check that we were totally unaware of and only found out about it after it had blown.... in the 400ex oil tank, where the bottom oil line hooks on, disconnect that line and there's a bigger like 17 or 19 mm nut thing that you need to unscrew and there is a mesh like screen attached to that....what happened to me was that screen was plugged, we never knew about it until it was too late...and that's what ended up blowin me up...or atleast helping... just a thought, i'd check it if i were you.

i damaged my rear plastics with about 3 races left in the season last year. i didn't want to get new plastics cause i only had like three races left...i doctored mine up, well my husby did actually, with zip ties..he crossthreaded them...they looked like stitches...they held up good, actually i'm still runnin those back fenders...i'm not changing them until the mud/snow series is over...i can't believe how well they've held up butttt then again hes got probably 50-75 straps holding them together...i'll try to get a picture of them tomorrow in the daylight so you can see what i mean.. it's a good way to not have to buy new fenders right away if you don't have the money....plus you also have to think...do you ride the quad to look pretty or are you afraid that buying new ones will put you in the same boat you're in after a few rides? depends on how rough you are on them...if they're not that damaged and can be salvaged and you dont have to have new, i'd try to same 'em. just my thoughts...i'm a cheapo but ya gotta be when you spend as much as we do on racing...

Sooooooo all of you know race season will be starting for me in less than 60 dayssss:aargh::confused:and i don't even have my quad ripped apart yet.... gotta love that winter mud & snow series soo...I'm going to start getting things ready for her to be switched over in the beginning of February...the last race we're doing is Feb. 8th...that means I have about 2 weeks to get her ready for the GNCC series start in Florida!!!!!!!!! nothin like procrastination ehhh? anywho...first thing...need advice on making a step seat...cause they don't make one for my girl, so I have to make one with some closed cell foam...what I need advice on is the kind of seat cover I want...I want a gripper one, but I'm wondering if I should get a seat cover made for a bigger seat, like an LTR450?? I'm going to take my old seat cover off my seat and use that seat to start, and just use the foam to build a little step up on the back...Im concerned that getting a regular 400 seat cover will smoosh it or look stupid....but then if i get a bigger one, I don't want it to look baggy... help?? i've also gotta get the fasst bars on that have been ordered (YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY) and the hipers....YEYYYY AGAIN!! and I've gotta get my new diggers ordered...just waitin to hear back from ITP on sponsorship/rider support...checkin out some graphics packages...wanna get the frame powder coated but im just not sure if i'll have time for that....either way she's goin to be sleek and sexy:yes:

I don't think Nick ever uses his choke. I have to, on occassion...but I hardly ever do because I actually have my choke zip tied closed...it tends to vibrate on during races for some reason...but that's besides the point. TB, did the guy give you a history lesson on the quad?

that's freakin' hilarious....i hope you didn't take the time to actually write all that, although it was very entertaining to sit and read... i'm not sure if kristin's goin to like being called a bbbbwordd bahhahaa.

nothin changed eh? still hard to start even wtih it on?? if that's the case, lets hope changin the plug helps....how long was it sitting?? was it rode a bit or has it been sittin in a garage for a year?

Nick's 450r starts better than mine does for sure. He gets his started and just walks away while i'm standing there with my throttle open for a min. or two till she gets warm.... But in the summer, its different....doesn't take that much to start her. Have you tried using the choke?? I dont remember you talkin about that...
