No, it was just him and a buddy. He was with his uncle out camping. When I got home I called his dad and told him I expect them to pay for it and he totally agreed. The kid was laying on the ground crying and the moment got the best of me and I was screaming at him cuz he is dumb. All kinds of cops showed up and everything. I told the guy I would pay to fix everything cuz I need it by Thursday and he could make payments later. When I talked to his dad he was still on his way to the hospital. After it happen we loaded the kid in the Rhino and took him to his camp. Then I went and found a cop cuz there was no phone service. Kristin is fine. The roll cage kept him from hitting her. If she would have gotten hurt I would be typing this from jail.

Don't go lower than a 400 IMO. -
So today started out great. Blue skys, warm air. We loaded the toys up to go play in the mountains. We arrive, everything is unloaded and we ride about 3/4 mile down a dirt road to get to the actual trail. I'm leading with Rhino not far behind when some 15 year old DUMB AS* on a YZ250 comes flying around a blind corner at about 40-50mph coming towards us. Luckily I slowed down for the corner and stayed to the inside when he went flying out of control around the outside. He smacked right into the Rhino peeling the rim off the tire, sliced the tire in 2 spots, ripped the corner of the hood. Ball joint is tweeked, that is what is obvious. I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow. Oh yeah about the schmuck. He flew over the bars and schattered his collar bone on the roll cage. His dad is paying for it. I'll post pics of the damage later.

When you are stretching it, be sure not to stretch to far. Go to the point where you fell pressure, not pain. Hold it for about 20 seconds and release. Do this 3 times. About every 30 minutes or so.

Sweet pic Schef! -
THAT IS VERY TRUE. Think of it like this. If you keep you thumb in the neutral or relaxed position, your tendons and ligaments shrink in length. When this happens the mass of it has to go somewhere. So it fattens up and restricts the blood flow. Lack of blood flow is another major cause of pain. So when you stretch frequently you are keeping the tendon or ligament from bunching up in the middle. Does that make any sense?

I was doing all I could to stop the quad but it's hard to when you're being thrown into the air at 40mph.

We'll make a day for your area!

Yeah thanks!

How did he not burn his legs? -
Try to set a dune trip for the 3rd week in Sept. Me and my girl will be up there.
-
Where would we find it?
-
You are right and wrong, The problem with wearing a brace to bed is that when you have no movement for any given time your ligaments and tendons will shorten making the area even tighter. Cracking your knuckles won't do squat to your muscles. The popping noise is gasses releasing from the joint capsole.

He's gonna inherit my 450R when I upgrade! -
They sell max clearance A-arms. The bottom arm is bent in a way to lift the front end up a little and keep the A-arms clear of rocks. Check this out! TRAX ATV - A-arms - Standard Travel - ATV Four Play Suzuki LT-R450

I started going to college for sports medicine. Needless to say I didn't finish, that's why I drive a truck.

Welcome to the site. Please ask anything you are curious about. Someone will get you some info. Congrats on the new ride.

It has to do with atmospheric pressure. Think of it like a barometer. When you have scar tissue on a ligament or tendon it will swell up when there is an increase in pressure. In return it puts pressure on nerve endings. It may cause some discomfort in real hot weather too. Welcome to the club. Have fun!

Got some general job questions
Stoopidbot1 replied to kfx450r's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
It's not like it's great job, jobs like that are a dime a dozen. Just tell your boss it's not working but thanks any ways. Go on your way. Just not showing up is kinda chicken chit. I've had plenty of those jobs. I say leave. -
Very Sad, I'm sorry MIKEY. I'm sure she is very thankful for what you did to help carry yours and her memory. She is still very much alive in your heart. God Speed.

When rain comes in my old injuries ache. I wouldn't be surprised if the pain goes away with the rain.

DO NOT put 450R shocks on it. They are good for stock but that is what I really want to replace. -

Doesn't sound like you need any advise, you got it all figured out. -
That was one of the first things I changed. Maybe the new machine is just ripping on your arms harder! LOL
