Try to stay relaxed, keep your weight centered but a bit more to the back, STAND UP, and keep your throttle the same the whole way through. If you let off, the back end will shoot up in the air, and if you give to much at the top it will bring the nose up. You have to REALLY accelerate of the lip to cause problems that way. Like Wheeler said, start small.

outlaw 525 vs dvx400

The Wolverine is a great machine. Handles like a sport quad/likes to be rode like one but it has the 4x4 so it opens up trails that sport quads would really struggle. -
Exhaust, nerfs, and tires are the most common upgrades. Just be patient and you will find what you want...Be safe and thanks for what you're doing in Afghan.

Welcome to the site!

AJ has 5 as well.

One of the best I know of is G T Thunder - Technology on the move!!!!!!!! They also sell a rear linkage that makes the rear stocker a million times better. I'm not sure what the cost is but you can get them done for about half the price of some top of the line Elkas.

There are companies that revalve the shocks and make the stock shocks just as good as aftermarket for a fraction of the price.

I like it, I have regained contact with lots of people I went to school with. I haven't seen them in like 11-12 years.

Yes, the 525 straight axle model is about the same, the 525 IRS model has a lot more. -
The suspension on the TRX is not that bad, it's actually half way decent.. Take the time to dial in your shocks and get a GT Thunder rear linkage. Get rid of the stock radials and put on some holeshots or Razrs. The thing does great every where except in the higher levels of MX racing.

Welcome to the site, my wife and I are from Denver! You ever do any racing at in Deer Trail?
-
Can you take a picture of the rear swingarm? The chain should have about 1.25-1.5" of play when the rider is on the quad.
-
GNCC riders also have the funds available to set their gearing for whatever the track throws at them. They are not even close to running a stock machine. Those are not your typical quads. And not many people have the ability they do.

That sucks, good luck on a speedy recovery.

There are real no negative years for the TRX, the 04-05 model was kick only and has an external oil cooler. The 06 and up have the option of an electric start/kick and have an internal oil cooler. Sam with the LTR, I don't know of any bad years. You are correct about the YFZ years.

Her mom finally rode it, she had a great time in riding up and down the road. I'm sure Kristin will post some pics.

WAY more power for approx. 30 bucks!

That is a great alternative to an exhaust system for someone on a budget. It opens up the stock exhaust and gives it a better look. That is a very common upgrade on the Yamaha Rhinos. -
I don't know, you can't touch the view from 13,800ft.
