  1. It’s all done. Final touches put on today. Runs great. The last owner of this bike kept it in amazing shape. All the lights work and had added rubber boots over the plug and bulb assembly’s def not factory. Haven’t seen that before. Everything was kept in tact and not beat up. But anyway it’s all wrapped up. Thanks @wanrep for the help with the pointers and pics for this bike. It’s always easier when you see pics form someone else’s project.
  2. Wow nice work brother. Expensive but nice. What a shame about finding the other rear afterward. Oh well, now you at a rear ended specialist ! 🤣 any pics ? I have two ranchers now. I am going to make it a point to check the fluids on the axles! Anyway great job.
  3. Holy rustomolly. That bike has been sitting a while I can see. I’m not 100% sure on that bike as far as suspension but if it did have it you would see it without having to look to hard for it. I’m not a big Suzuki guy sorry. I’m going to stick with my original guess that the tires on the front are not a good tire for the bike. Have you taken any air out of the tires to see if it changes. Make sure they are not over inflated ?
  4. Update ! Parts installed and all back together. Reused the old neutral safety switch since it was never bad in the first place. Bike runs great. Going to post a few more pics tomorrow of it all back together.
  5. That looks like the cdi holster. Are there any plugs hanging around it ?
  6. It’s possable that the timing chain jumped when you shut the bike down. Check the timing first and see how it looks. Then check the plug and see if it’s flooded out and the color of the plug. Maybe the float in the carb is stuck. But start with the timing.
  7. Try to find the vin and take a pic. If it does not show up with a pic you have to put a piece of white paper over it and sketch over it with a pencil
  8. Ugh yes that sucks. Hope baby girl feels better. Been there done that !
  9. The set up on that bike looks correct. It’s strange. Any chance the front suspension had work done? My guess is you put a new set of front tires. Different tread. I think you won’t have any more problems. The amount of tread really is not the way to look at it. If the treads are good but all rounded at the ends it’s going to slip I picked up a nice set of fronts for $85 bucks on amazon. I just checked the price and they went up to $117. They were for my recon. That thing turns like a champ on anybterrain. The tires are great. I wouldn’t over think it. Go with the obvious. 10. It happens. People jump start their bikes with a car or a jumper pack and don’t realize they can blow up a stator coil. All sorts of resons. Welding on a bike can do the same. I’m at the point where I can’t wait for a bike to give me the best problem it has to offer. Bc the bottom line it’s that it’s a machine and it has a diagram and if you can understand the diagram you own that bastard. So let’s get after it and fix that thing and make it run.
  11. Ok hold on one sec. Here at Quadcrazy believe it or not the manuals are free! Secondly I said I’m willing to help you sort out the electrical diagram because I am a wiring kinda guy! And lastly anything that I can’t help you with there are plenty more memebers her to jump in and help with a solution. Take a look at some of the forum posts and you will see some of the most complicated problems to some of the simplest are solved here!
  12. Hahaha I’m willing to sacrifice that. She’s easily swayed with a new pocketbook!
  13. you should be able to see what we have in the download section and be able to down load after 10 posts which you should be close to or should have so far. If you need help with the wiring diagram let me know.
  14. Everyone I know is all banged up with a cold or some sh**. Hope ya feel better. I found a few bikes this week that I’m going to look at. Ones a bayou 300. Sitting for a while. Guy wants $750, not happening. The other is a worier 350 not running but a ton of extras and wants $500 to get it gone. He said it’s his sons and been sitting for a few years in a garage. Going to try and grab both for $1000. Busy weekend ahead trying to wrap up the one bayou and pick up two more! The wife is going to flip!!!!! 🤷🏻‍♂️
  15. So the new part has arrived! $13.00 bucks and it’s oem so that’s good. Take a look at the pics and you can see the projection of the metal tab that’s spring loaded coming out of the reverse cam. That should surely reach the electronic pick ups on the neutral safety and reverse switch. I’m off to go get some beer and head to the garage! Pics and the end result coming soon! Maybe have it done by the weekend. Only a few hours each day to get this done.
  16. Hahaha little bastard!! I love it. If I had to sum up the way I feel about all of my bikes past and present I would put that way. I love the bikes i get and feel the same way! Anyway I would guess it’s the stator. It’s an easy test with an ohm meter. But a new one cant hurt! Keep us posted I’m curious how it goes.
  17. No spark ? Have you tested the stator coil inside the engine ?
