  1. So timing and valves are good ? If so just re tighten everything good and spray a drop of wd-40 into the cylinder and spin the engine a few times to get the piston up and down the cylinder. Did you put the new rubber rings in the valve cover caps. I like to use a drop of high heat scilicone on the edge of them caps. They leak oil for some reason. lastly after it’s all back together I like to press the start button with no spark plug in to cycle the engine a few times to pump oil up into the head before it fires up so it does not scorch the cam.
  2. It should be in the manual and if I’m not mistaken it should be 0.010mm but not sure. I will check later when I get home.
  3. Grab the piston and try to rotate it or put it in gear and spin the wheels But be gentle.
  4. I hate to say it but I would pull the head again and see if the crank spins. You have to be sure that nothings inside the engine. Habs you tried to spin it both directions. I feel like it would have to be the timing chain. Be sure it’s all the way up and not kinked down below.
  5. Is the crank spinning ? Do you see the crank trying to rotate ? I hate to say it but I would pull the head again and see if the crank spins. You have to be sure that nothings inside the engine.
  6. So the piston is jammed inside the cylinder it sounds. I would back the piston out and see if that’s the problem. If the crank spins freely then the piston is jammed inside the head and that’s not good. You can scratch the cylinder walls. Maybe a rings not compressed and sitting in the groove right.
  7. Your going to have to unbolt the cylinder and see if the cylinder moves when you rotate the engine then you will know if the piston is locked up in the cylinder.
  8. Bike in gear ? Did you drop anything in the engine ?
  9. You didn’t put the timing chain back yet correct ? The timeomg chain should be held up with a piece of wire so it does not fall in the engine and jam up. Is it psssble that the chain is kinked down in the engine ?
  10. Nice friken work!!! I will show you my dyi valve tool also lol. Great job. So carb cleaner will help clean all that Carbon off. Remeber to use grease in the rockers, valves etc during reassembly and refer to the manual or Quadcrazy if you aren’t sure of anything 👍👍👍👍👍
  11. Hey mike. How did you make out with the ignition and relay ?
  12. Welcome to Quadcrazy Big E. Nice looking bike for it’s age. I like older bikes, they are fun to work on without all the electronics. So you should be able to find a manual in the downloads section of this site. It’s the tab on the top right side and go down to the download tab and it’s self explanatory as far as looking for your bike. It should be there or a year close to it. You must have at least 10 posted items before you can have access to the manuals but you won’t have any trouble doing that as you will find this site pretty interesting as I did. You will wind up asking questions and commenting on some of the posts maybe helping out the next guy with there problem or just posting some cool pics etc. So welcome to Quadcrazy and enjoy the bike brother!
  13. That’s great that they hold events like that. And raise money too. A lot of bikes show up? I would load up the bikes and make the drive for a day like that!
  14. So the cam is out ? That pic looks like it’s still in ?
  15. Go to the download section on the right top side. Look for your bike and model. The valve compressor will only work with the head separated from the cylinder.
  16. Take a look at some of these. You are also able to download the manual yourself if you want. Make sure you take some time and absorb it. You are deep into this now so failure here is not an option. You have to put this back together the way it came apart and when the bike fires up you will feel great! So take your time and read it and don’t get frustrated.
  17. So if you count seven fins up from the bottom of the head that’s the separation point form the head to the cylinder. The cam you may have to just hold the rockers up one at a time to slide the cam out and then the rockers can come out. Screw one of the bolts that held the sprocket on into the cam to help you grab it better.
  18. So there some larger Allen key type bolts and some smaller 8 mm bolts on the side of the head they will release the cam and rockers. Just remember how and what washers come out and go back the same way
  19. Look at the diagram I sent and you will see how it comes out. The rockers are held in by bolts on the side of the head.
  20. You will definitely need the cam and rocker assembly out of your way.
