    So I was looking at my John Deere today and though, how could I make this cooler. So I tinted the windows. Lol. As I got home I was staring at my Polaris and the wife’s kfx. I thought I would have to replace the crank because of piston slap on the Polaris. Turns out I just had to adjust the choke cable a tad more. Runs great. Why do we have insurance if we only need it sometimes, and that’s questionable. What is the definition of being an adult? You can ask 6 people and get 6 different answers.     All I can say is check for engine noises or taps like valves or rod knocks. If it is drivable. The clutch should be smooth and grab about a quarter of the way out. Other than that. Great quad and you’d be happy. It will go fast and it’s a lot of machine. It’s not really a tight trail quad. Check the oil too. And look into the radiator cap for oil residue.     Is there a difference in reed plates? I know branding is different. I.E. Boyseen fmf oem. But the only difference I see is the dual stage reeds vs regular. What I really need is a multi tool to check the every thing. Kinda like a amp probe or a clamp on voltage meter. I know Klein makes them. But are they optimal for 12 volts or less?     Okay. So 210 220 230 and 240 are all the same. The 175 loads up and bogs but if ya feather into it, stumbles. If ya juice it it will bog but clear out and rev like a beast. I’m thinking a spark delivery is the culprit. I just don’t want to lean it so hard I melt rings. I bet the flywheel has something to do with it. The coil is new and the plug. Reeds and intake boot. The carb is clean and no engine leaks. Compression is a solid 148 and holds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Yeah. Out of no where. That 175 was worse than before with the 210. I’m gonna try 240 230 and 220. It’s dialed in right. Runs great. Just not at wot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Merry Christmas and happy new year frank! I disconnected it from the intake boot. Put a bolt thru the intake to cap off the line. Then I kinked both the lines from the pump and tank so nothing got in there. The tank is empty except for the little bit that’s left.     So I picked up this quad for 200 bucks. Needs everything serviced or replaced due to neglecting. So I tore into it and stripped it to the frame and did a bunch of work. I’m having an issue. It runs and revs to 3/4 throttle and almost bogs out. It smokes a lot at wot. So the 210 jet is responsible for that. I know it’s a 2 stroke carb and I just don’t know what to jet with. The oil injection is faulty so I disconnected it and run 32:1 mixed. Any ideas fellas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ultimately you need to decide what you will be doing with your machine. I have a Deere that hauls hay and feed and dirt and ect. I like the one I have because it has a dump bed and enclosed cab. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Well. Will you be going thru swamps or wetlands. Mountains and rocks. All of it, most of it? If you ride on dry lands with trees. Then a mud tire will be a bumpy ride depending on the tire. Compacted treads will offer a smooth ride but can be crappy in mud. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hmm. You did everything you could. Even most of what I would have. It seems like reversed wires. I know Yamaha has the same plugs with same connectors almost the same wires too. Try that.     I’d imaging you could ream out the holes to make it work. As long as it’s not on the edge and your bolts are torqued. You’d be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Yeah me too man. You find all kids of crap as you drive, lol. I too have ran out of places to keep my toys. My wife wants to murder me.     I agree frank. I’ve done that a lot too. I also drive around and look for things in the woods or in abandon places that are ran to the ground. I once found an Indian 50 from the 60s which was free. Restored everything and it sold for 7000. Talk about a vintage score. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
