  2. the honda seems to be more reliable and cheaper to repair and maintain ..but i would stay away from the electric start and get 1 with a kicker ... i work on atv's here in my shop and also for a local dealer when they are backed up.. and we change starter clutches (one way gear) on the 450 honda almost as much as u would replace the break pads on it .. especially if you start and stop every 10 to 20 min every time u ride for a day or weekend ... but the oil chainge maintance also has something to do with it ..bikes that get oil changes on a regular basis dont ware the starter clutches out as much ..
  3. its already not a stock bore motor ..lol.. its got the athena 392 kit with the boreable sleves in it ..lol..so its a little more than stock..but i would like to go with the bigger cheeta jugs and the +4mm stroker crank an rods ..lol
  4. well aparently bikes and quads have alot better resale there ...i have a friend that buys motorcycles and quads and sells them to a guy thats from there ware u r and that guy ships them back there and sels them at a real big profit ...
  5. WELL if it was me i would go an take a look myself and see what its doing ...if its filling with gas then the float on the carb is stuck open ..an will prolly need removed and cleaned .. then i would definatly chainge the oil..and install another new plug ..then see if it will start ..if its dumping that much gas then the oil is going to be full of gas also..
  6. Well mario ..im not gonna rub it in ...but mine is faster than yours ...
  7. well i just looked in the local atv dealers nada and kelly blue book ... an they say NADA=$3500.00 TO $4500.00 KELLY BLUE BOOK= $3200.00 TO $4500.00 THE LOCAL DEALER THAT I DO WORK FOR LET ME LOOK IT UP.. AND HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT IT WAS WORTH AROUND THE $3000.00 TO $3800.00 RANGE BEING THAT IT WAS USED AS A RACE BIKE .. SO HOPE THAT HELPS YA

  14. sweet rides ... hope u have a great time running it this season..
  15. the wolverine is heave and under porered in my opinion .. i have ridden them and didnt like it .. the brute force would be my choice .. and a good used prairie 650 or 700 would also be something to look for ..especially the 700 they have alot of torque and get up an go (will keep up with the brute force 750's but are more stable ).. and will fit short people pretty well.. my 11 year old son rides my 650 and can reach the floor boards(foot rest) and he is shorter than your girl friend ...
  16. i built 1 a couple years ago and used the rear axle from a small front wheel drive chrysler car .(bought from junk yard for 40 buks).i think it was a dodge omni or similar 4 lug ..i cut it down and made it the same width as the quad ..and i found some atv wheels that were the same bolt pattern ..think they were old polaris rear (early to mid 90's) i built the frame out of 2x2 angle and put wheel wells in it so the tires/wheels didnt stick out i used atv shocks as the axle mounted with a few bolts and made a swing arm kind of setup.. the shocks were at a near flat angle only slightly angled for some suspension and to keep ground clearance as high as possible .. this should give ya some what of an idea .. it worked really well and u hauled around 700 to 1000 lbs in it.... i sold it t a guy that i met on a riding trip and he just had to have it and bought it from me the day we were leaving to head home ..he gave me 400 buks for it ..i only had about 200 in it ... i looked and cant find any pics...sorry ..
  17. another good 4x4 with a V-twin is or would be the kawasaki brute force 650 with the solid (strate) rear axle ..they have alot of power and do really well in mud and they are really stable for some 1 that dosent have alot of experence riding ..and another would be the V-twin powered kawasaki prairies .. i have owned several of theese ..and currently own and race 1 .. and have had very little if any problems .. they dont have eps but the stearing is fairly easy except durring hard breaking when the weight is shifted to the front wheels .. read up on them in dirtwheels .. they always get great reviews ..and the prairie 650 and 700 were both named atv of the year when they came out ..
