  1. Always reset air jets on new carbs, one and a 1/4 out after turning in just to seat ,try with that first then slowly turn in or out till tunes out. Hope for the best. And also could be starving for fuel with two fuel filters in place some of them cheaper carbs are finicky.
  2. Not for me the damaged nerves are nothing to joke about. Y'all stay safe out there
  3. I just quit ebay myself, their guarantee to fit. Doesn't matter at all bought new parts and old past 2 months recently have had to send back because of wrong parts. Guess ebays people don't CHK things out of if sellers are actually on the know.many sellers refuse to refund and will fight you on if a part is actually the part you need. Just to much of a hassle, please buy from places like rocky mountain, oem if you can and rocky mountain does have used parts that they CHK with their mechanics and guaranteed also. Good luck
  4. Should be right under the tank, seat area,if not some times people just take them off if did you would have to install another one yourself good luck
  5. Aggree, good machine but when they get age I guess things gonna happen, and now we have to work on things that have sensors on just about everything, the other day I had brand new one in shop that had so much crap on it and mostly plastic, bet inside engine they did also. The best engine with the less moving parts will always win.
  6. Just wondering how your kids bike lessons are going, hope all is well
  7. There's always some parts that wear out on any quad. But I've seen a many of the kings ,take a beating and keep on ticking. For their age and countless storys I've heard I would not a doubt in my mind take one on a long hunting trip in the woods. Just to say quality sometimes over wins what you might think shouldn't happen. Have a good one.by the way them little Honda's are a beast if taken care of.
  8. That's what I was thinking ,Mech, always best to stay with oem ,had customer chew me out ,that their new wheels would be not safe and I wouldn't install for no matter how much they give me.
  9. Yes I would agree, the clutch should hold tight with enough spring pressure that would not allow rattle. I agree with Gwbarm. Just listened to video again this time I slowed it down sounds to me like it's trying to bump into gear. Can anyone else hear that?hope the best
  10. Yes need more family, less phones. Good luck on bike.
  11. Ok understood,no rust is good 👍 but also some times that corn whiskey gas does gum up like that, like a gel ,if it is in carb could have a major issue ,cleaner should get it going. I have installed aftermarket motorcycle petcock on quads. Works fine and fairly cheap, good luck🤞
  12. My jug itself was 120. All top end was about 300. That was with timing chain and tensioner cheaper yes but has been on bike for while no issue yet. I bought from an used ATV dealer that sells aftermarket parts they are on eBay .
  13. If the pet cock is in that bad of shape ,then I would definitely check lines carburetor completely, most likely dirt and rust in tank. Will have to do a good cleaning on all. Most of the time you can clean till Christmas but if rust got in carb then you have to take off completely and let set in a carb cleaner of some kind. some times you just can't get the rust out deep in side of carb with the fine ports and all to make carb happy again, then will have to get another.this is the thing that makes you drink and you wife move in with mother. Hopefully it not as bad as it seems and you can get it running.and as mentioned in above text if you tried straight without filter then you will have trashy gunk in carb.
  14. I found an old post online,I've never done it but sounds simple will try to post it
  15. Have not come up on a loud noise as stated but ideally noise of that nature could indicate premature clutch wear. Also since gasoline is oil derivative could have a coating filming on clutch, try to clean with brake clean thoroughly let dri completely before installing cover back on. Wish you luck a shop will be costly.
  16. Yes sir mechs idea on drilling and splitting it on one side and the other would work I've did that before on stubborn nuts. Hopefully neck turns out fine 🤞
  17. Yes even a small flathead screwdriver if u can get it in and just put pressure enough to get nut to turn. Hopefully you got something like that .
  18. Sounds like timing chain slap. When engine is revved up then all of a sudden down shift sometimes it'll make a clip tap noise if the timing chain is a bit loose
  19. Had a John deer, that went to the paces like you have got compression up to par then wouldn't turn over fast enough to crank. Choked starter was working but week, put new starter on and fired right up. Hope you get it going
  20. Like any new bike something could go wrong, manufacturing is not what it used to be ,as to problems it's a bit to soon to know yet . keep us posted as any new problems arise so we can get the word out for others who might have that same machine. Enjoy riding
  21. I've seen similar things done as such but not that old of a machine,if cam did fit you might have to do some filing as to piston. Jugs and pistons must match for correct ring gap, piston might fit in old jug but wouldn't allow rings to be properly seated, then before you do upgrades on top end make sure to chk bottom end I've seen cranks and rods twist, brake ,ect but other than that nothing ventured nothing gained learning what could be is half the venture.
  22. Yes ,and welcome,10/40 is about the middle of oil viscosity for ATVs, mostly oil numbers are related to hot or cold seasons cold weather you want thinner hot you want thicker but not to thick never go thicker than specs ,some newer bikes take 10/30 ,10/40,even I've seen 10/50 just remember the first number is when the machine starts as it runs the second number is the thickness of oil on internals. Hope this gives you a little insite. Have fun and get greasy.
  23. I have indeed, have a complete top end and racing piston .been running around about a year no problem, had a little trouble lining jug up to head , because it was a bit thicker on the side of chain but all in all very impressive and save a bit of money
  24. Curious to see anyone that has aftermarket tires, wheels .what size, how well made. Such as this. Welcome all community to chim in on what they have seen or have.
