  1. Just wondering are they the same diameter as the old ,so that you could clean oem carb to about new specs with new brass.?
  2. Probably,be a little work, classify them by make only, then separate into year category models would fall into years. And people needing them would know there make and year. Hope that helps, and at quad crazy I would do this .
  3. Yes sir batteries are finicky with vibration and temperature and charge state ,I've seen some bikes not run at all if the battery was not fully charged.
  4. Yes,I agree with Gebarm, these are great starter videos.but the best is to be with them every time they get on and ride with so that you can teach as they increase knowledge of their bike like tire pressure fuel and oil levels brakes ect. Wish y'all the best and be safe and have fun.
  5. Yes have changed out new brass to old carbs several times and ran better than new.
  6. Checking in to see if you have any progress on Yamaha clutch
  7. That's great that you have some progress and get those kids involved we all need to to keep knowledge of mechanical things alive or this new generation will be nothing more than videogames .
  8. Yes sir we all need to be ready for the down fall if something drastic doesn't turn us back heading in the right direction.
  9. That's a nice set up you have there Steve beats a tractor any day and the ole king quad looks good for it's age. Ride on
  10. They have really flooded the market with aftermarket everything these days seems most look like the item your replacing but but won't last, there is something to say about OEM parts. Straight from dealer that is. Some are quality some are aftermarket themselves and selling you substitute parts for OEM dealer prices.
  11. Don't forget the fuel filter if one is still on it or i have seen petcocks go bad and restricted fuel flow and won't let the machine rev. Hope this helps
  12. If you lived close to me I would just give you one I have a parts bike in the back it's a 400 but it's probably the same.
  13. I myself just bought an aftermarket carb from ebay ,for a 2000 Kawasaki prairie, came in looked the same but when put on the choke was different than originally had, took off and got the mighty Dremel out and cut the extra tabs off to fit my cable ends.stil not running yet had to work on others that came in shop. I've come across that before on accelerator cables also ,but on Yamahas mostly.
  14. You will need a good multimeter also for any wirings, but Manuel s are good but hands on experience is all ways the best just have to not be afraid to dive in a project, and if you come into a problem then come here and there are some good people with allot of background to help you out. Wish you 🤞🍀
  15. Glad to hear you got it going good luck on any future endeavors
  16. Carb is in great shape for age of bike.
  17. Yes sir that's better but just from sound, acts like it still not firing all the time could be me. Hope she runs
  18. A loose wire connectors could be at fault not making a solid connection could do this .
  19. I've never seen such a clean break as that has to be manufacturing default, seen breaks before but cracks actually and have pieces missing here and there. Could be rebuilt though just make sure to get all metal dust out of case. Hope the best.
  20. You can get the brass bushing at most auto parts stores.
  21. Just wondering if anyone would still be in for Biden now, knowing all what his team has done to this once great nation.
  22. Found out sometime ago that some I would believe fit but might be a little beefier looking ,will work but for how long ,because of the specs will be not of manufacturer, hope this helps.
