what do you use your quad for
hangingon replied to hangingon's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
Hope your doing ok. Some folks think i'm a few fries short of a happy meal for getting a quad. After having a 3 level back fusion. It was not caused by a quad it was from heavy lifting. -
I'm late to hear the news. It's good to know she getting better.

No pain no gain as long as I don't end up in the river or going thru thorn bushes.

very cool! Love the ones that look like eyes. If there was a snake skin body rap and with the eye headlight covers Wow!

The Official Good morning thread!
hangingon replied to BuckBilly's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
This is a good afternoon to all QC people. It's too late to say good morning. -
Did you catch the big one or did it get away.

I had got stuck near the top of a hill climb. the quad dug into the mud off camber. So I got off and tried walking it up in 4wd & diff lock lever pulled all the way in no luck. It was in the mud when it came lose it was going backwards and me with it. The brakes wouldn't hold it! it was just to steep and slick so I slammed into the tree at the bottom of the hill before landing in the muddy water face first. my quad made it's on path on the way down between 2 trees without much room in between after I hit the tree the quad was on it's own. You can all laugh now!

If thats the v twin 700 engine have you checked to see if the carbs are in sync. It can cause over heating and very poor performance. Anytime you rejet your carbs or make changes to them you need to sync them. I'm not sure if this is the problem if it is you will need a sync tool to check & set them. Good luck

1995 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 flooding and gas tank cleaning
hangingon replied to dcata's topic in Yamaha ATV Forum
I'm not sure if I can help. when the frontend of a motorcycle or quad is lifted in the air while loading on a truck if it's at a steep angle gas will run out and onto the ground. If your not seeing this with your quad I would say something could be stopped up and the fuel is flooding out your carb because it has no where to go or it could be a float sticking. There are people on here that knows alot more than me on QC I'm sure someone will be able to help you. As far as cleaning the carb I would use carb cleaner it's worked for years. Good luck and let us know what u find out.- 1 reply

I bought my quad from a used dealer. In the deal he was to get me the front bumper for my quad with in 2 weeks. Now it's been months his excuse last time I talked to him is he's been real busy and hasn't had time to call the guy. Now this past friday he said he called the guy with the bumper and has not heard back from him. The bad part I know who he is to be getting the bumper from so I called them. They have not heard from Scott the quad seller. He lied to me and he was paid in full when I picked up the quad. I'm trying to be nice & not do anything to get myself in trouble by losing my temper with this guy. I want some money back or the bumper to top it off I bought 2 quads from him a few weeks apart!

Wyld1 women just don't understand. I walked in from a ride yesterday and went to tell my wife something and before I could finish saying I want to tell (she said what did you do now)! It's just no fun with all 4 wheels on the ground & going slow.

Your right about that!! Nitro for my 1/8 scale 2 stroke rc buggy is around 40.00 a gallon. Thats paying to play and it's not rideable. Now it needs a new engine or piston & sleve. It's only 2hp I can get a new engine now with over 3hp. So go big or go home. I think I'll just leave it on the shelf for now all the rc race tracks that I raced at have closed. So thats about 250.00 in gas if I don't fix the rc buggy
