We are going to try and make it to colorado to ride the quads at some point this year. It would be awsome to meet up. do you guys ever make it out here to sand mountain?

I haven't really had a chance to ride that many sport quads. I did enjoy riding the Blaster and is why I have the Suzuki LT 250R. I love my LT. I have also ridden a Predator but I didn't really get to ride it long just a little test drive. I do know I like the power. I have also ridden my friends Scrambler 400 and it is fun, again I didn't really get to trail ride it just a little test drive. I have a lot of fun on my LT and since no one else has said it I will.

I have never paid more than $1000 dollars for a quad but it looks like I might have to soon. I have been really lucky to find good used quads. I think that the LT and the 250R were both way ahead of their time. I have most everything the new four stroke race quads have with disc brakes and such and can add better shocks. I would love to have a brand new KTM but I just can never see myself paying $10K for a quad. I have to many interests to put that kind of money into just one. Unless I win the lottery or my brother-in-law does.....

My 1986 Honda Fourtrax 250R. Fast, Light and a great stock suspension. Ported, polished & piped. To this day still wish I had it!! I would have to give the banshee a close second just for that insane on off power band. It kind of reminded me of my YZ 80 when I was a kid. I have not had a chance to ride any of the newer four-stroke racers but look forward to it.!

Would I be going against the grain if I said I dont like 2 strokes?

Zillas and banshees are cool as hell but I prefer to have a 4 stroke motor

That said I like Most sport quads. No automatics and minimal wiring. I like the challenge of keeping up with 4x4s.

I have not ridden more than a handful of different makes and models, but my favorite 2 stroke would have to be the LT 250R. I had this as my first quad and it was ridiculous the power it made (ok, it was bored .60 over, ported and polished, head milled .20 and had a Barnett clutch!). And as far as 4 strokes, I have only ridden 1, that would be my '86 230s Quad sport. It is light, easy to throw around, fairly quick, good on fuel, and it even has reverse!

Heres my story. Kinda long. I guess I was a late bloomer when it comes to quads. I had never ridden a quad in my life. Rode Dirt Bikes as a kid growing up. Back in Oct of '06 I found a Mustang on craigslist. Took it for a test drive one morning before work. Fast car. 351 Cleveland. I had planned on meeting the guy again after work. For some strange reason thats still to this day beyond me, I stopped in Hillsboro MotoSports on the way home from work. I had 6 Grand on me. There was a left over '05 sitting by the front door. It was on sale for $4999. It was $5499 OTD. I didnt even look at anything else. I knew nothing about quads accept I thought it really looked coool and I had the money in my pocket to buy it. I was sitting on it when the salesman walked up and asked... "Can I help you?" Without hestitation I pulled 60 Ben Franklins outta my front pocket and said "I want this Quad. Load it up in my truck." It was just about dark by the time I drove away from the shop. BTW, I didnt bother to ask my ol lady if I could buy it. LOL. Anyway, I took it by the house and showed her. She was kinda stunned but not mad. We drove over to a friend of mines house and unloaded it. I took it to the field across the street from his house. HOLY CHIT!!!!! I was surprised by the power. I had it for about 2 weeks and took it to Sand Lake. I was there a few hours and rolled it on a banked turn at the top of the bowl right before you get to the one-ways. When it rolled, I flew off and landed on my belly. The quad came bouncing and landed on my back. For a month I couldnt even walk. I was scared of it. I considered trading it for a 250EX. Went back to the shop. The salesman said..."Dude!!! You dont want a 250EX!!! Trust me. Just get used to it" I still wasnt convinced. I put it on craigslist for $4000. Calls were coming in. I had a guy that wanted to come look at it that evening. I decided to take it for one last ride at Browns Camp before I sold it. I was still afraid of it. After about 5 minutes I started feeling comfortable on it again. I decided right then, I loved my Honda 450 and would learn how to ride it instead of selling it. That was late Nov of '06. Work was slow for a Painter in Oregon. My new job everyday? Going to Browns Camp and ridding my Quad. I bought my Girl Friend an '02 Blaster. I rode my 450 for 4-6 hours almost every single day for 3 months. And yes, I know my way around Browns Camp pretty well. LOL. In March I bought her an '06 TRX250EX (Thank God I didnt trade my 450 for one of those) LOL Since then, I have become totally addicted to quads. I love them. Couldnt imagine not owning at least one quad. Luckily I have two. My "07 was $6500 OTD in July of '07. Bought it for my Girlfriend. Traded in her 250 EX. A month later we broke up. So, I wound up with two Honda 450's.

My king quad 700 runs rough when cold then won't start some times but not often when it's hot. And occasionally smoke's a lot when it's cold I'm guessing that's rings but I'm worried unless it's causing the other problems

      All help is appreciated thanks

Has anyone else had an issue on older king quads where the oil would leak from the top of the head (due to a failed gasket) and drip onto the hot exhaust? Mine got so hot one time it caught fire. Just wondering if this is a common issue, as I've seen the same thing happen on multiple bikes that were the same model.

My 2014 750 king quad stalls sometimes when I touch or turn the handlebars, the problem has gotten worse,my machine has 475 miles and is only trail ridden,I have a new factory battery and i have 14.2 volts when the quad is running and 13.3 on the battery when not running, also using a multimeter there is no change in volts when turning the bars until it does stall,If I pull the 40 amp power steering fuse it will not stall.......I've been told its the ECU,Hate to buy one if thats not the problem, but its kinda leaning towards that,,,,,need some opinions.
