  9. If you can locate the neutral safety switch. It should also be the reverse switch. Inspect the wiring and even unplug it and see what happens. Maybe it’s possible that it’s poorly placed and burnt against the engine or exhaust ? Also I would pull each fuse one at a time for any of the accessories and see if it does this.

  10. what was it doing? i think its hard when a company (any company) starts making a new model of atvs to get all the parts bulletproof on the first try...every model is different and polaris has to make new parts for each.. I think before long the 450, 570, 850, and 1000cc will be just as reliable as the old 400 and 500cc that were ruled the first class atvs in the world in their day.... just remember, if a product is totally garbage, no one would buy it and the manufacturer would go out of business. the exception is with the chinese atvs that are just so dirt cheap that folks cant resist.

  14. Wow great pics brother. Wtf is that tan sh** ? Looks like a piece of fish... The tank looks nasty. Glad it runs great, very nice work. The only thing I’m going to say about @Ajmboy is the only thing he has crusted is his reputation in this forum. You can’t have pie without crust! And this forum is the pie and he is the crust! And @Admin I love you too! Ride safe.

  15. Frank, Yes metal gas tank. Turns out it was the ignition switch. All crusted over inside (like Ajmboy's shorts, JK thanks for the link). I pulled apart and cleaned, carb, air box, starter. Clean out the gas tank. Replaced front brake lever/master cylinder assy, rear brake shoes. New battery. Looks like a bag of as* (plastics fk'd) but starts right up and purrs like a kitten.
