The only SxS that is faster is the Artic Cat Prowler 1000. Top speed of 82mph! Stock

Do they come sized for an 11" rim?
-
I hate to break it to you, none of those tires come in an 11" rim. You might have to suck it up and buy some 12" rims for the back...
-
I've been around them plenty but never drove one... All I can say is your family WON"T be disappointed.

That model in AJM's pics is the RZR S. It is 60" wide with long travel. That won't work for you. The standard RZR is a very capable machine. It has a low center of gravity to help with it's narrow stance. IT WILL ROLL IN A HEART BEAT. The only negatives I can think of is the bed is only 4" deerp which means using it for a cooler or other gear is out of the question for the most part. And since it is on a quad chassis the driver and the passenger are very close to each other. Put 2 big guys in there and you wind up with "Broke Back Side by Side".

The BigHorn, the Terracross, and the Kenda Bounty Hunter are the best all-purpose tires...IMO

There you go buddy! You got your goggles! Congrats

I agree rather tham keep dumping money into a machine that at the end of the is still a 125. I think you should save up some money, try to sell the breeze and get something used. I know it's a pain in the butt, but you gotta go bigger to hang with your friends. Keep in mind that any quad, once you get to know the machine and you got the feel of it, It is not as exciting as the first time you threw a leg over it.

Cams and gearing are going to be your best bet. There is always port and polishing.

Exhaust, Intake, Jet kit, CDI Box, Change gearing, change cams, high compression piston... how much money can i spend for you?

I have no idea, I'm in Colorado. Just found some info to get you started.

yamaha yfz450 vs honda trx450
Stoopidbot1 replied to hondaman's topic in This vs. That ATV & Off Road Comparisons
The TRX450R is kick start, the TRX450ER is electric start. I know plenty of people with 05's that have extremely strong running quads. But I also know they had their share of problems...just like any early model quad. -
Look at this google post, it will get you started. atv riding in Arcadia, RI - Google Search

LOL, Good luck to you!

Here I am 4 days later and my thighs are still on fire. This was a desert style race so it wasn't big jumps and stuff like Loretta's. There were probably about 12-15 jumps on the 13 mile track. And they are the ones that send you about 40ft but only 5 ft off the ground. Arm Pump was getting the better of me about 4 laps into it. Then i miss counted laps and instead of pitting on 4 I went to 5 and almost ran out of gas. Great times

That way there is always someone who can help with an issue and we are not spread to thin.

They have been done before. The CR500 puts out 62 ponies in stock form. I hope you're an experienced trike rider...That thing can hurt you. The 500 is no joke.

yamaha yfz450 vs honda trx450

Look for an 05 TRX450. There are plenty of them out there. The 05 TRX450 is what I would say about 75% of the guys that race 450's in the Baja1000 run the 05 model. Top speed is just a sprocket change away from being higher. The early model YFZ's were loaded with problems. -

yamaha yfz450 vs honda trx450
Stoopidbot1 replied to hondaman's topic in This vs. That ATV & Off Road Comparisons
I got an 07, they worked all the kinks out from the 06's. I have not had a single problem after 100s and 100s of miles and god knows how many hours. Mine fires up so damn easy, I don't understand the hard starting thing. I have been extremely happy with mine. -

That has a lot to do with the rider. Plus the 06+ models are faster than the 05/05 TRX's. The Yamaha has better acceleration due to the DOHC where Honda runs the single cam. The Hondas, according to every true speed reading I have seen, the TRX has a higher top speed by about 1mph. I'm telling ya, sit on them both before you make your decision. They both feel completely different. I can't stand the ergonomics of Yamahas. -
Welcome, Im glad you came over. Great group of guys here.
