  1. Agreed, As long as the basket is in good shape, you should be fine with just plates.
  2. If you get a chance take a look at this page. This is some trails in Washington that our members have added, feel free to browse and add some if you ride some areas that are not posted. (legal areas only) ATV Trails » QUADCRAZY ATV Community
  3. I ran my quad against a fully built YFZ450 at the dunes. It wasn't even funny. He took off so got damn fast you wouldn't f'ing believe it. In a quarter mile straight, he probably beat me by 20-25 yards. I was completely shocked at how fast he was running.(acceleration) I actually went up to him after the race and asked for my nuts back. LOL That's when he told me it was a pro level Baja motor and suspension. I could obviously see the upgraded suspension but I actually laughed half way through the race because how bad he was beating me. (my ride is no slow poke)
  4. Thanks Sandrider, Welcome to the site. If you have any questions feel free to let myself or anthoer mod know and we will take care of you.
  5. The octane rating of gasoline tells you how much the fuel can be compressed before it spontaneously ignites. When gas ignites by compression rather than because of the spark from the spark plug, it causes knocking in the engine. Knocking can damage an engine, so it is not something you want to have happening. Lower-octane gas (like "regular" 87-octane gasoline) can handle the least amount of compression before igniting. The compression ratio of your engine determines the octane rating of the gas you must use in the quad. One way to increase the horsepower of an engine of a given displacement is to increase its compression ratio. So a "high-performance engine" has a higher compression ratio and requires higher-octane fuel. The advantage of a high compression ratio is that it gives your engine a higher horsepower rating for a given engine weight -- that is what makes the engine "high performance." The disadvantage is that the gasoline for your engine costs more. You would be fine running the higest octane from the pump.
  6. Thanks for dropping in Joe, Kristin and I are making your box!!!
  7. Welcome to the site Dave, Outlander is right. Sounds like to much gas. If the float was stuck, fuel USUALLY flows out of the carb overflow.
  8. We have a small sand dune area that is surrounded by Aspen Groves with trails shooting through them and the mountains on the outside of that are covered in trails! AWESOME riding area

  10. This is mine and DrtyGrl's dog Delilah and her first view of a deer. She didn't know what to think and then the baby deer was just as curious and approached her. Then the stand off began. The deer backed down first.
  11. We will be renting an RV and towing the trailer, it won't fit both. It's not for sure, we are doing a big trip to SD in Sept...so
  12. This is a some killer info!!! Thanks.
  13. I'm dying to race period. If I can do it and have my wife by side enjoying the same thing...I'm game. I would park my quad 100 times out of 100 races if she wants to race too. She said she would be more comfortable with me in it with her. And as much fun as it is for you and your hubby to race together, think how much more fun it would be to experience every bump and hill and wheel rubbin' together!
  14. LMAO, I can't take credit for it. DrtyGrl forwarded it to me through email.
  15. I don't know what they throw for tips. pole.flv video by kristinkoron - Photobucket
  16. Ha, I'm assuming you saw that movie. At the end where they jump the car, I watched them do that. It was right around the corner from my house in Cali. That is Cabrillo St. they are jumping down. Sorry, you can have your thread back.
  17. Damn, mine goes plenty fast but look at yours. I bet the page loads before you're even done typing.
  18. Just backing up your info!!!

  21. Not for free, if you find a manual let me know. 06-09 are the same. What do you need to know about the TRX?
  22. If he happens to come through Colorado, let me know. We'll take care of him.
  23. The first thing I would do is drain the gas, clean the carb completely. Chances are the gas went bad and gunked up the carb.
  24. OK, I see. Thanks for the info!
  25. It already is basically the dirt bike motor. So what exactly does it do?
