    What is really throwing me is that it idles. If it was a CDI problem or something I don't know that you would even get it started. How does the air box/air filter look? It maybe starving for air, possible it is getting enough air to idle but not for the increased load. Mice like to make nest inside of air boxes. I have a friend that practically sucked an entire nest into his motor.

    Does it have an in line fuel filter? It sounds like a jetting problem but you said it did it with both carbs????

    If you can only see it in the dark and not the light, that is normal. If you can see it in the light, you are running lean... Have you ever had your quad jetted properly?

    Try spraying some wd40 in the ends of the cable and work it back and forth... as for the glowing pipe, did you notice this during the day or night?

    I found if you light the ends of the plug on fire, it will melt the excess off and the melted rubber also helps plug the hole.

    They guy said it worked. He said that the Banshee fronts are only 5/8" I think he said longer than the 400ex rear. Not something I would personally try but hey...to each his own, right?

    The only thing I have found in the way of aftermarket headers for the 300EX is from HMF.

    The black one doesn't cost anymore. So why not buy black, then just touch up as needed?

    I just sold my 450 stockers to Mellow Yellow. Has anyone else heard of using a Banshee front shock on the rear of a 400ex? A guy on another site pulled it off. He says he loves it.
