Fuel/air screw set properly? Have you checked the spark ? Maybe maybe a fresh plug?
-
That’s what Quadcrazy is here for! Good luck and keep us posted.

Can’t open the link but sounds cool.

Yes That’s great. Just take your time and make sure you do a thorough job. I like to use a cheap white pilllow case on my work bench before I get into one. It helps to see any parts as well as the dirt that comes out. I buy the cheap ones a two pack for $2 bucks at them cheap stores like odd lot or something. I also like to use a can of compressed air to blow everything out. Staples or any office supply place has them.

That’s great. You should invest in a clip for your phone that straps to your chest. -

Double check your spec for that. You never know with Polaris 😂 put the wrong drive train fluid in and the bike may sh** the bed🤣. Just kidding. Btw this might be a good time to put the bike on a bench and tear it down and do things right. Maybe the bushings, gaskets, axle etc. maybe break it all down and get into slowly but before the summer so it’s ready to go. Just a thought. -
Have you checked the sprockets on both sides (engine and axle) for wobble and also could be a stretched chain as well as a few frozen like that make it jump the sprocket. And lastly check the sprockets for wear.

Yes eventually it will blow out completely and not run any more. A gasket kit is cheap enough. The labors a bit of a task but hey you love Polaris!! -
Prob a swing arm bushing. It cocks the swing arm and that throws the chain alignment off.

Problem w/ intermittent defrost a/c
Frank Angerano replied to bradleyheathhays's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
This is quad crazy not crown Victoria crazy! Lol just kidding. It could be two things. One the fogging could be due to a blown (heater core). It’s a small radiator type coil under dash board on the passenger side. A real bi*** to get to. A tell tale sign is the fogging as well as a wet floor on the passenger side under or on the carpet and a bit of a sweet odor in the car. The second thing it could be (less expensive) is the change over valve. It’s a small valve or damper that’s controlled by the switch in the dash. The control switch you would use to change to defrost to dash vent. That switch usually activates a motor of a kind that moves the flaps inside the dashboard ductwork. That motor can be a pneumatic , electric or cable depending on the year. It’s usually located on the firewall under the hood. In that general area. I’m putting my bet on the heater core though based on the fogging. Hope this helps. Get an Atv. It’s a lot easier and more fun to work on! Sorry to my fellow members but I couldn’t help myself I love cars as well! Good luck! -
Welcome to Quadcrazy! I’ve attached a diagram to help you out. That should pretty much explain things. It may not be your exact carb but I can look that up for you in the mean time.

Awesome news. What’s going on with the swing arm?

First things first. Head gasket and or water pump failure. One or the other. Then deal with the carburetor/fuel pump issue later. -

That’s great news @Gunny ! Not for the shopping 🛍 but great for the wife!! speedy recovery and best of luck. Safe riding. -
Freakin deal! Use the app all the time. You have to jump on that and go as you did ! Nice work. Even if both engines were blown the plastics alone would be worth the money you paid on a part out. So hoping the engines are good which they prob are you scored !!!! Keep us posted !

I received this set this week and used them. Could not be happier. You strip the wires put them into the connector and hit them with some heat. The tube shrinks and has a gasket material that melts and surrounds the wires, then there is a strip of soft solder that melts as well connecting the wires. Very strong. 👍🏻 50 pcs Solder Seal Heat Shrink Butt Connectors Electrical Marine Automotive Waterproof Wire Splice Insulated Connector Kit 26 24 22 20 18 16 14 12 10 Gauge AWG https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LK2YJQC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_RZ-GCb3N1M9Q1

Bayou 250 -- electrical gremlins

It’s a healthy spark that you don’t need to have to look hard to find. Fresh plug in the bike rest it aginst the head and you should see and hear the spark. -

Definitely top it off but check your oil first as well and be careful because you could make it worse by riding if it’s in fact a head gasket. -

Usually the white smoke would continue and not clear up. Also the smell would be there. It’s a sweet kinda odor. What you could do its run the bike for a few min and let it warm up. Once you have it warmed up good if possible then shut it down. Take the spark plug WIRE off and crank the engine for a few seconds. Then remove the spark plug and bring the piston to the top. Stick a Q tip inside the spark plug hole and swab the head. You should see moisture or the color of anti freeze on the Q tip. As far as anti freeze I like to use prestone and keep it clean. Nothing stands out like bright green! Also check the color of your oil. Make sure you don’t see anti freeze or any discoloring in the oil. Take a sharpie marker and mark the level of anti freeze on the reservoir so you can monitor it. -

When you say the spark is too week have you checked it ? Taken the spark plug out and held It against the engine while cranking?
