  1. There is a neutral safety switch located on the shifter side of the engine. It’s a light green and a red wire going into the engine. Take the light green wire from the harness side and ground it. That should close your stayer relay circuit. If so then you have an issue with the neutral safety switch.
  2. This is a typical carburetor issue. Take the carb off of the machine and brake it down good and clean it. If an engine starts by putting fuel in the head or by spraying starter fluid into the carburetor then it’s 100% a dirty carburetor. Keep in mind where the air fuel screw was set at and put it back at that spot when the carburetor is cleared. If your not sure how to do this then there is a post on carburetor rebuilds on the forum. Its not that bad to do so it’s something you can tackle. If you can’t find the post let me know and I will point you in the right direction.
  3. Your very welcome, keep us posted on the Kawasaki. Good luck.
  4. I think your idea is good but for the most part I feel if something is strong enough to pierce your outer tire tread then the tube does not stand a chance. That’s why I always keep plugs and a small 12v compressor with me. My bikes all have a cigarette type power port to plug into. I also keep with me thanks to my buddy who rides bicycles is a Co-2 air supply. It’s super small and very powerful. I have this In case my compressor failed or my power port for any reason. If it’s a big tare then your screwed either way wether it be a tire of a tube. Just my thoughts on this anyway.
  5. I will take a look at the wiring diagram when i hey home. Maybe I can help you sort it out. Mean time post some pics of the wires by the radiator.
  6. Ok that makes sense now. That’s not the correct switch for that machine. I would order a new switch or a used one from eBay. An original equipment manufacturer switch (Yamaha). The wires should all be color coded and match what wires are on the harness. I’m assuming someone put a cheaper switch on the bike because of the price of the right one. I looked at a few switches on eBay and they run about $90 bucks. If the bike is in good shape I would do it.
  7. Well after all it’s only the BRAKES!!!!! I would 100% get that master cylinder/handle and put it on. You can find used ones on eBay. Might as well finish it off and make it right.
  8. Hey Jeff. Welcome to Quadcrazy. Was the bike running good up until a certain point and did this just happen out of nowhere ? im thinking the main needle on the throttle slide may be set to high. But if it was never tampered with them there should be no reason to move it. Check that it’s not bent, check the setting on the air fuel mixture screw also. It may be ruining a little rich. My guess is your problem will most likely be an adjustment on the air fuel screw.
  9. What kind of carburetor is on that machine. Reason I’m asking is there is a post out there about possible print at the needle valve that could be causing a problem. It was on a Mikuni carburetor. Maybe a long shot but hey stranger things have happened. This was posted by @Freezeman and some good info. As far as the float maybe having a leak I would def check that out. I just came across this problem on a machine. If you haven’t completely broke down the carburetor then do so ASAP.
  10. That’s great news. I was about to reach out to see how you were making out. Great job brother. Ride safe.
  11. I love it, great info on this. You would think that this would have been a bigger issue with Polaris and complaints as well as a fix Having that o-ring set is very handy as well. Good stuff brother.
  12. Well done brother, some sh** makes no sense sometimes but hey as long as it’s working who cares. Def post some pics and ride safe!
  13. Ugh I don’t know about that pal. Maybe in weld at the least! Fuel problem fixed ?
  14. Very cool. My brother is in Carlton. I’m heading out there for the first time this coming March. Looking forward to it.
  15. Are you sure of the year ? That picture/part is for a 2006
  16. Good video. I had two of them trikes. They were 1985 and an 86. We bought them new way way back in the day. When my uncle was around. We used them for hunting, great bikes but rolled real easy. That’s why they banned them here shortly after 1989 I think. The 86 was the Big Red. They are both still upstate just sitting there doing nothing. The new owner just lets them sit.
  17. It should be on the left side of the handle bar it’s red. It’s right above the start button. It may be missing or the red switch cover is gone? Can you post a pic of that left side of the controls on the handlebars ? Should look like the pic attached.
  18. Have you checked the fluids ? What’s the reverse procedure on that bike ? Is there a brake lever that needs to be pulled etc ?
  19. I would think there is only one switch to turn the engine off. There is a key switch as well. Have you located both? There should be nothing more.
  20. That’s a great find, great share and some good information. A bit scary out there and she dies like that but hey it is what it is. Did you have any tools with you ?
